Episode 31: “Take That First Honest Step” — Samantha Nazareth on Her Medical Career, Leaving New York and Creating a New Life on the Other Side of the World

In this inspiring episode, Moana Robinson chats with doctor, author and lifelong learner Samantha Nazareth about making the courageous decision to leave behind the life she had spent years building. In January 2023, Samantha stepped away from her home in New York, a decade-long relationship and the traditional clinical career that had shaped much of her adult identity. What began as a six-week sabbatical became a transformational journey of grief, uncertainty, freedom and self-discovery. Samantha shares the honest reality of starting again—not only the exciting possibilities, but also the uncomfortable and often messy space between an old life and a new one. After losing her mother in 2021, she returned to her family’s roots in Puerto Rico before travelling solo through Europe, Asia and the South Pacific. Along the way, Samantha became a French resident, learnt to swim as an adult and discovered a passion for scuba diving. She also reshaped her career, moving beyond her windowless Manhattan office into more flexible work across telehealth, consulting, wellness and emerging areas of medicine. Samantha is also the author of I Left Anyway, a deeply personal book exploring heartbreak, grief, identity and the decision to move forward even without having every step planned. Her story began with leaving a decade-long relationship, traditional clinical medicine and her home—all at once. Today, she loves having the freedom to remain curious and become a student over and over again. This episode is a must-listen for anyone who feels called to make a change but is waiting until they have the entire plan. Samantha’s message is beautifully simple: begin with one small, honest step and trust that the next chapter will reveal itself along the way. In this inspiring episode, Moana Robinson chats with optometrist, businesswoman and author Shaina Zheng about her passion for transforming dry eye care and helping patients feel comfortable, understood and hopeful again. Shaina explains why dry eye is much more than a minor irritation and how the condition can affect a person’s daily life, emotional wellbeing, confidence and even their ability to drive or socialise. Through her work at Eyecare Plus Mermaid Beach with her husband, Jackson, Shaina is helping patients understand the underlying causes of dry eye rather than relying solely on temporary relief. She also shares the story behind her upcoming book, The Dry Eye Imperative, which aims to educate optometrists and healthcare professionals, improve communication with patients and elevate dry eye care across the industry. Despite her growing success as a speaker, educator and advocate, Shaina openly discusses the discomfort she still feels when putting herself forward. She explains how focusing on a meaningful purpose helps her move beyond fear, speak up and share knowledge that may improve someone else’s life. Shaina also reflects on balancing her career, studies, business and family life, the importance of a supportive community, and why women should surround themselves with people who encourage them to grow. This episode is a must-listen for women who have something meaningful to share but may be holding themselves back because stepping forward feels uncomfortable. Episode 25: "The Body Doesn’t Lie" — Kuve Bradley on Body & Emotion Code

In this episode, Moana sits down with Kuve Bradley, a Body Code and Emotion Code practitioner, business coach, and co-author of Radiante and Legacy Business Builders. Kuve explains how Body Code works by tapping the subconscious (much like kinesiology) to ask clear yes/no questions—because, as she says, the body doesn’t lie. She shares that many imbalances and trapped emotions can be inherited across 15–16 generations, and that clearing these can also lighten the load for our children. Most clients notice shifts in about three sessions (heart-wall work often takes five to six), and transformations can be profound—think fear of flying resolved after three sessions. With English as her fourth language, Kuve describes her writing ritual—handwriting first, then dictating to transcribe, and editing for flow. Over 12 years in practice, she’s gathered insights on common heart-wall emotions (like love unreceived, betrayal, and insecurity) and how certain emotions often map to organs (for example, anger with the liver/gallbladder). Her biggest message? Learn to trust your intuition and listen to your body’s instant answers—that inner wisdom is always available.
