    T1D & Marathons: The Vermont 50

Today, I dive into all the details of my Vermont 50-mile ultra race and how I managed my Type 1 Diabetes. This topic is filled with tons of takeaways that I've learned and that you may find helpful, from basal rate reductions prior to the race start to hydration, nutrition, and electrolyte needs that sustained me for almost 11 hours of running. I discuss how my training has created a stable low A1C and that preparation is almost as important as race day performance. This has been my favorite episode to create thus far, as it embodies everything T1Determined is set out to do. I hope you find value in this content to help you get after your goals as a T1D.
