The Wild Woman Podcast with Becca Ploener

Becca Ploener

Welcome to the wild woman podcast, on this podcast I bring to surface the conversations we have in private about the outdoor community. My hope is that by sharing these challenging topics, I can break the ice, promote positive change, and empower people to be more informed, aware, and intentional with their actions. I’m an adventure life coach, and whitewater kayak instructor based out of Asheville, NC. I specialize in empowering outdoor athletes and enthusiasts to overcome the mental side of adventure so that they can feel safe, secure and satisfied with their adventures and their life. Check out my website www.wildwomanbecca.com for more on what I do.

E158: How to Use Death Medicine as fuel for your ONE LIFE with Emily Bingham

What is life without death? I call death the "ultimate risk", but what happens when you come to terms with that ultimate risk? Looking bluntly at your own mortality and the finiteness of this one life we're gifted allows us to actually feel and live fully alive.  Emily Bingham is a spiritual life coach, speaker, and author of Love & Grief, helping people leave nothing unlived. At 30, her husband Ian was diagnosed with terminal cancer — and in the fifteen months before he died, they learned how to fully live. Now she teaches what she calls Death Medicine: facing your mortality now to get the clarity most people only find at the end, through her Death & Disco podcast, her year-long Bucket LIFE journey, and stages everywhere. E152: Harness your Competitiveness for GOOD with Brad Burden

Competition is not wanting to win at the detriment of other people, it’s wanting to win period. It’s pushing yourself to get better. It’s the drive and motivation and PLAY underneath the game. Brad brings in his perspective as a 23 year long high level basketball coach with a deep history in traditional sports as well as whitewater kayaking and competition from a young age. And I bring in the opposite perspective, of always avoiding traditional competition, never having learned the lessons through classic sports. Tune into this episode if you’re someone who’s always been competitive minded and you want to see that as a positive attribute and you want to use it to fuel your goals. — Brad Burden is a former pro kayaker turned basketball coach. After a 23 successful stint as a high school and college basketball coach Brad has returned to the sport of kayaking through instruction, masters level competition and his podcast B-Flow Sessions. — Join the Better than You, Because of You 10 day Competition with Becca Join Becca’s GROUP DARE facebook group (free) Becca is THE high stakes performance coach for athletes, musicians, leaders and performers who are at the top of their field and are ready to blow up their impact with increased clarity, power, and presence under pressure.
