Carry On Cabby

I'll 'ave a Bit of That! Today we Carry On...Cabby, as Jon joins Darren to talk about the merits of glamorous cab drivers taking the business from male drivers. And how this impacts the marriage of Charlie and Peggy Hawkins, and the shenanigans of chaotic (possibly drunk) driver Pintpot. We also talk about series regualr Liz Fraser, fired after this film, and re-employed a decade later in the series, one of the longer lived cast members.

Today we Carry On...Cruising, as Eric joins Darren aboard the SS Happy Wanderer, as the captain (Sid James) meets his new crew and we meet the passengers looking for love (cruising in a different sense). The barman, doctor, XO, cook and Tom Tree try to make the right impression. We also talk a little about the newcomer to the cast, Lance Percival, who was one and done.

They were know for starring Kenneth Williams and Sid James. In many years they were the highest grossing film at the British cinema.
