🎙️ Episode 131: How to Lose 10lbs of Body Fat in 10 Weeks

Losing 10lbs of body fat in 10 weeks is possible… But only if your body is actually in a place to respond. This episode is not about slashing calories, adding endless cardio, or white-knuckling your way through another miserable diet. It’s about how to run a smart, strategic fat loss phase so you can get in, get out, maintain muscle, keep your metabolism healthy, and avoid rebounding afterward. In this episode, I break down: * Why you may need a build or maintenance phase before dieting * How to know if your body is ready for fat loss * Why knowing your maintenance calories matters * How I’d set calories, protein, steps, and cardio * Why strength training is non-negotiable * How to use the scale without obsessing over it * What to do when progress stalls * How to reverse diet out of a fat loss phase and maintain your results Because fat loss is not just about eating less. It’s about having a plan, using data, making educated adjustments, and respecting your body enough to not live in a deficit forever. ⚠️ This is not a crash diet. It’s a 10-week strategy for people who want results without wrecking their hormones, metabolism, performance, or relationship with food. 🙌🏻 Let’s Connect 📱 Instagram: @fit.habit.emma🌐 Website: www.fithabit.club🎧 Don’t forget to subscribe to the podcast so you never miss an episode! 🎙️ Episode 130: What Coaching With Me Actually Looks Like

Have you ever wondered what online coaching actually includes? Not just “here are your macros” or “here’s a workout plan”... But what does the process actually look like? In this episode, I’m pulling back the curtain on how I coach, why I coach online, and what working together with me actually looks like. Because coaching should never be one-size-fits-all. Your plan should be built around your goals, your lifestyle, your stress, your training experience, your digestion, your schedule, your preferences, and what you can realistically execute consistently. In this episode, I break down: * What happens before we start working together * Why I ask so many questions on discovery calls * How I personalize training and nutrition plans * Why I don’t just hand out macros without seeing your current habits first * How tracking builds awareness and creates faster results * Why form videos are such a valuable part of online coaching * What check-ins, messaging, daily texts, and group calls look like * How functional health, labs, gut health, hormones, and lifestyle factors can play into the process * Why online coaching can be so powerful for the other 23 hours of your day ⚠️ This isn’t about giving you a random meal plan and workouts and hoping you figure it out. It’s about education, accountability, personalization, and helping you build a lifestyle that actually supports your goals. If you’ve been curious about coaching, this episode will give you a behind-the-scenes look at what working with me actually looks like. 🙌🏻 Let’s Connect 📱 Instagram: @fit.habit.emma🌐 Website: www.fithabit.club🎧 Don’t forget to subscribe to the podcast so you never miss an episode! 🎙️ Episode 129: From Restriction to Food Freedom

This week, I’ve had apple pie almost every day. And the wild part? I didn’t feel guilty.I didn’t overcompensate with extra cardio.I didn’t “start over” the next day.I didn’t spiral into thinking I ruined my goals. But that wasn’t always the case. For years, I restricted foods like this. And when I finally allowed myself to have them, I’d usually overindulge, feel guilty, and then try to make up for it with more exercise or more restriction. That cycle is exhausting. In this episode, I’m talking about what actually helped me build food freedom and it probably isn’t what most people think. I break down: * Why restriction made my relationship with food worse * How tracking helped me understand food instead of fear it * Why food freedom doesn’t mean eating whatever you want with zero awareness * How to fit fun foods into your life without guilt * Why context matters when it comes to your goals, hunger, training, and lifestyle * How I decide when something is actually “worth it” Food is fuel, but it’s also more than fuel. It’s experiences. It’s memories. It’s apple pie with family. It’s pizza after an 8-mile hike. It’s learning how to enjoy your life without feeling like you’re wrecking your progress. Food freedom isn’t having no structure. It’s having enough awareness, trust, and flexibility to make choices without guilt, shame, or all-or-nothing thinking. 🙌🏻 Let’s Connect 📱 Instagram: @fit.habit.emma🌐 Website: www.fithabit.club🎧 Don’t forget to subscribe to the podcast so you never miss an episode! 🎙️ Episode 128: Why You Still Feel Stuck After Doing Everything Right - Stealth Infections, Mold & Hidden Stressors with Matt Cusano

What if the reason you still feel exhausted, bloated, inflamed, anxious, hormonally off, or stuck in your health journey isn’t because you need to try harder? What if there’s an internal stressor your body has been fighting for years? In this episode, I’m joined by Matt Cusano, co-founder of Ryze and Pure Factor Formulations, to talk about stealth infections: the hidden burdens that can impact your gut, hormones, immune system, energy, recovery, metabolism, and overall health. We talk about: * Why “just reduce stress” isn’t always the full answer * The 4 major categories of stealth infections: reactivated viruses, parasites, toxic exposure, and tick-borne illness * How mold, heavy metals, mycotoxins, Lyme, EBV, and other hidden burdens can keep the body in a chronic stress state * Why gut issues, hormone dysfunction, chronic fatigue, anxiety, sinus issues, and inflammation may be connected * Why comprehensive testing matters and why random cleanses or supplement protocols are not the move * How to think through symptoms with a root-cause lens instead of just chasing quick fixes ⚠️ This episode is not about fear-mongering or telling everyone they have mold, Lyme, or parasites. It’s about asking better questions when someone has cleaned up their nutrition, improved their lifestyle, worked on stress, trained consistently… and still doesn’t feel good. Because sometimes the problem isn’t that you’re not doing enough. Sometimes your body is fighting something you haven’t found yet. 5. 🎙️ Episode 127: Why I’m Taking Fat Loss Off the Table

    11 Jun

🎙️ Episode 127: Why I’m Taking Fat Loss Off the Table

This episode is a little more personal: I’m sharing a life, health, and fitness update on what’s been going on behind the scenes. Over the last year, I’ve been dealing with weird symptoms, more inflammation, skin issues, histamine reactions, feeling less resilient, and just not feeling like myself. And now we know part of the reason why: mold. Not just “my husband is moldy” mold… but mold in our house that we’ve been consistently exposed to. So in this episode, I’m breaking down what that has looked like, what we’re doing about it, and how it’s changing my goals for this season. Because even though part of me wants to jump into a fat loss phase, that’s not what my body needs right now. In this episode, I talk about: * Why mold and environmental stress can make your body feel less resilient * Why I’m choosing maintenance/recomp instead of pushing for fat loss * How I’m navigating body image when I don’t feel my best * Why adding more stress isn’t always the answer * What my nutrition and training goals look like for the summer * Why community has become such an important part of my health This is your reminder that the “right” goal depends on the season of life you’re in. Sometimes the most productive thing you can do is not push harder. Sometimes it’s support your body, fuel your training, manage stress, build community, and let your body heal. 🙌🏻 Let’s Connect 📱 Instagram: @fit.habit.emma🌐 Website: www.fithabit.club🎧 Don’t forget to subscribe to the podcast so you never miss an episode! 8 Jun

🎙️ Episode 126: The Truth About Recomp: Does It Actually Works? feat Laura Savino

Body recomposition is making a comeback… And on paper, it sounds like the dream:“Just stay the same weight, build muscle, lose fat, and skip the bulk/cut cycle.” But is that actually the most effective way to change your body? In this episode, I’m joined again by my friend and fellow coach Laura Savino to break down what body recomp actually is, when it can work, and why for most people, trying to “recomp at maintenance” ends up being the slowest, most frustrating path. We talk about: * Why recomping at maintenance usually takes way longer than people expect * When body recomp can work: newbie gains, returning from a layoff, improving training, fixing nutrition, gut health, sleep, and recovery * Why influencers who say “you don’t need to bulk or cut” often already spent years doing dedicated build and fat loss phases * The problem with trying to chase body composition changes without a clear goal or timeline * Why training intensity matters more than most people realize * How under-fueling, poor gut health, excessive cardio, and high stress can limit your ability to build muscle * Why dedicated phases of building, fat loss, and maintenance usually create better results This episode is for the person who says,“I just want to stay the same weight but look completely different.” Because yes, that can happen in certain situations. But if you have big goals like more muscle, less body fat, better shape, better performance, you probably need a more intentional plan than floating around at maintenance and hoping your body changes. ⚠️ This isn’t about forcing everyone into a bulk or a cut. It’s about setting realistic expectations and understanding the what makes the most sense for your body, your goals, your health, and your season of life. 🎙️ Episode 125: Why Being Strong Is Better Than Being Skinny

Why are we still chasing skinny? After years of dieting, under-eating, over-exercising, and trying to make my body smaller, I can confidently say this: Being strong is so much better than being skinny not just because of how it looks, but because of how it feels. When you focus on getting stronger, you get to eat more food, build a better body composition, support your hormones, improve your metabolism, protect your bones, age better, and actually feel capable in your body. In this episode, I break down: * Why “toned” really means having muscle * How building muscle helps with long-term fat loss * Why strength makes you feel more confident and capable * How under-eating and over-exercising can wreck your hormones * Why performance goals can improve your relationship with food and exercise * How muscle supports bone density, aging, digestion, metabolic health, and quality of life * Why getting strong helps you stop trying to disappear and start taking up space ⚠️ This episode is your reminder that shrinking your body is not the goal. You deserve to feel strong, fueled, capable, confident, and at home in your body. 🙌🏻 Let’s Connect 📱 Instagram: @fit.habit.emma🌐 Website: www.fithabit.club🎧 Don’t forget to subscribe to the podcast so you never miss an episode! 1 Jun

🎙️ Episode 124: The Biggest Problems With Functional Medicine

I have a lot of respect for functional medicine. Without it, I probably wouldn’t be the coach I am today. Functional medicine helped bring the idea of root cause health into the conversation. That matters. But after working with clients who have spent hundreds, sometimes thousands, of dollars on labs, appointments, supplement protocols, restrictive diets, and 90-day plans… I’ve noticed a major problem: Most people aren’t failing because they don’t care. They’re failing because they’re handed an overwhelming plan with very little support, very little accountability, and almost no guidance on how to actually implement it into their real life. In this episode, I break down: * Why functional medicine can feel so expensive and out of reach * Why testing and supplements aren’t enough on their own * The problem with getting a 3-month protocol and being sent on your way * Why most functional doctors miss training, macros, calories, and behavior change * How restrictive diets and huge supplement stacks can become overwhelming fast * Why lifestyle habits are often the “low hanging fruit” people skip * Why the best results happen when functional medicine is paired with a good coach * And how coaching, functional medicine, and therapy can work together as the ultimate trifecta This episode is not about bashing functional doctors. It’s about explaining why so many people go through the functional route and still feel stuck and why protocols work better when someone is helping you execute the basics consistently. Because labs can give you information. Supplements can support the process. But if you don’t have the habits, training, nutrition, lifestyle, and accountability to support your body long-term… the protocol usually won’t stick. 🙌🏻 Let’s Connect 📱 Instagram: @fit.habit.emma🌐 Website: www.fithabit.club🎧 Don’t forget to subscribe to the podcast so you never miss an episode!
