Bilingual in Spanish and English, he dedicates his time to helping others while nurturing his own dreams. Through his experiences, Alexander inspires others to explore their possibilities and embrace the journey of self-discovery. Not everyone dreams of jumping out of an airplane, but for years, skydiving quietly lingered in my mind. It wasn’t an obsession; it was a dream waiting for the right moment. During a season of genuine happiness—studying psychology, working in animal welfare, and nurturing meaningful relationships—I found myself asking, “What would it actually take?” This question shifted my perspective and encouraged me to explore possibilities rather than dismiss them. When I finally chose a date to jump, I invited a friend to join me. We both booked our jumps simultaneously, giving each other permission to take the next step. On the day of the jump, excitement and nerves filled the air as we arrived at the drop zone. Watching experienced skydivers leap into the sky reminded me that what had lived in my imagination was indeed possible. The moment we jumped, I felt an exhilarating freedom. It wasn’t just about the thrill; it was about realizing that many limits exist only in our minds. I invite you to explore your own dreams. What is your airplane? Style Unbound The Art of Fashion in Tokyo Season 2 Episode 31

On a sweltering day in Tokyo, I find myself surrounded by the vibrant world of fashion, alongside Brooke and her electric collection from Japan. This collection is a captivating blend of pieces from emerging Japanese designers fresh out of college and vintage luxury fashion houses like Bianca and Digger Song. It’s a treasure trove of creativity, showcasing the unique artistic vision that defines the fashion landscape here. Having lived just outside of Tokyo for the past five years, I’ve developed a deep appreciation for the artistry that surrounds me. My daily commute, a quick 40 minutes by train, allows me to soak in the dynamic energy of the city while exploring and sourcing new styles. My approach to fashion is heavily influenced by my visual instincts; I thrive on the aesthetics of what I see and how I interpret them through my artistic lens. This visual inspiration not only enhances my personal wardrobe but also informs my work with clients. Working closely with clients, I’ve come to realize the profound impact that personal style can have on their confidence and self-expression. I love to demonstrate how clothing can be styled in various ways—loose or fitted, layered or minimalistic. Many people are unaware of the transformative power of accessories, like belts, which can redefine silhouettes and elevate an outfit. My goal is to inspire clients to embrace their individuality and experiment with their wardrobes. Navigating the fashion scene in Japan has been an incredible journey, especially during events like Tokyo Fashion Week. I actively participate in exhibitions and pop-up sample sales, where I delve into the stories behind the garments. Each tag tells a tale, and I enjoy following the journeys of these designers on social media, connecting with their creative processes. Language has posed its own set of challenges along the way. While English is my first language, mastering Japanese has been a gradual process. However, I’ve become proficient enough to facilitate conversations with clients, which helps create a seamless experience. Yet, conveying the intricate stories of garments in a third language can be tricky, especially when working closely with designers. My mission is to curate collections that resonate with my clients’ desires while pushing the boundaries of their fashion perceptions. I encourage them to explore styles they might not have considered before. For instance, the pieces I currently have on display are dipped and multicolored, showcasing the endless possibilities of pattern mixing—think polka dots paired with stripes. Fashion should be fun and engaging, and I strive to create a shopping experience that reflects that ethos. After all, it costs nothing to try on clothes and experiment with different looks. In this vibrant city, where tradition meets innovation, I continue to learn and grow as a stylist. Each day presents new opportunities to connect with the rich tapestry of fashion, and I am excited to see where this journey takes me next. Whether through the lens of emerging designers or the timeless elegance of vintage pieces, the world of fashion in Tokyo is a never-ending source of inspiration. This is a public episode. Medicaid, Medicare, Social Security and Health - Season 2 Episode 29

Understanding Medicare and Health Insurance: A Conversation with “Mike Marion” In today’s podcast, we delve into the essential topics of Medicare and health insurance with financial expert Mike Marion. As we navigate the complexities of healthcare coverage, it’s important to understand the distinctions between health insurance and Medicare, as well as their roles in retirement planning. Health insurance and Medicare represent two different worlds. Individuals under the age of 65 typically rely on health insurance through corporate plans or private coverage if they are still working. However, once they reach the age of 65 or retire, they transition into the realm of Medicare. This shift is a significant milestone in one’s healthcare journey. Focusing on Medicare, it becomes clear that understanding this program is a crucial part of retirement planning. In the past, financial advisors emphasized the importance of protecting one’s financial future through various types of insurance. This includes ensuring proper health insurance, disability insurance, and life insurance. As individuals age, the importance of Medicare and long-term care coverage becomes increasingly apparent. Many people do not realize the risks associated with inadequate coverage. Without proper health insurance, individuals may face significant financial burdens that can jeopardize their financial stability. It is essential to assess one’s healthcare needs and ensure that appropriate coverage is in place to mitigate these risks. In summary, Medicare and health insurance play vital roles in safeguarding financial futures, particularly as individuals transition into retirement. Understanding the differences between these types of coverage and their implications is crucial for effective retirement planning. As we continue to explore these topics, it is important to stay informed and proactive in securing the necessary protections for a healthy and financially stable future. This is a public episode.
