    🌿 When Roots Touch Shadow – Part I: The Hollow Root The altar beneath the Gloomshade has split open—and the roots below are no longer sleeping. Deep within the ruined temple, Eryx Obscura stands changed after consuming the Witch’s Heart. Shadows cling to him now, writhing beneath his skin and whispering through the dark. Beside him crawls Kreeg, the shadow-goblin born from the curse itself—chittering warnings of something deeper below. But Eryx is not alone for long. Drawn through the leyline by Sylvara’s call, Elchad Thornvale arrives at the shattered ruin just as faceless Hollowborn drag themselves from the black sap flooding the altar floor. Together, the two strangers fight through the corruption—Elchad’s strikes shattering husks into sap while Eryx cuts through the darkness with Shadowfang in hand. Yet victory comes with loss. Kreeg is torn apart by the Hollowborn, dissolving into shadow before Eryx’s eyes. And in grief, rage, or instinct… Eryx reaches deeper into death itself. The shadows answer. His sight changes.
