The Carers' Meditation Podcast

Alison Watson-Shields

Caring for someone living with dementia rarely leaves room for a moment that's just yours. The Carers' Meditation Podcast exists to give you exactly that — free, guided meditations designed specifically for unpaid carers, whenever you can find the space. No experience needed. No chanting, no jargon, no pressure to do it "right." Just a friendly voice and a little time that belongs entirely to you. The podcast is created by Alison Watson-Shields, MSc Dementia Studies and founder of Young At Heart ULO CIC, drawing on over 20 years of dementia care experience to create something that speaks directly to what caring actually feels like — the exhaustion, the guilt, the small moments of joy, and everything in between. Season 1: 55 episodes available now. Season 2: new episodes every Monday morning. Find us at youngatheartulo.org.uk
