I took my own conception advice and it worked | channeling spirit babies, finding joy, and surrendering to the journey

What if the advice everyone gives about conception is only half true? In this episode, I share why the real shift wasn’t forcing myself to “just relax,” but finding a sense of safety, openness, and creative fulfillment that changed how I experienced the journey. I talk about my own path through years of intuitive spirit baby work, early grief, and the pressure of trying to do everything right. My breakthrough came when I stopped chasing and started creating. If you’re trying to conceive, healing after loss, or feeling stuck in the effort of it all, I hope this conversation feels like company. My journey took me from client readings and intuition training to a miscarriage, a full-time reset as a waitress, and then a spark of inspiration from reading romance and fantasy. That spark eventually led me to write my own romantasy books. Creative fire became an unexpected part of my story - not because I stopped wanting a baby, but because it helped me want from a place of peace instead of panic. In this episode, I explore: * Why “just relax” is incomplete advice when you’re trying to conceive * How safety, openness, and neutrality can shift the experience * The role hobbies, creativity, and joy can play along the way * What I’ve come to believe about spirit babies and living in alignment with what you truly desire * How writing romance became part of my conception story I also reflect on the emotional aftermath of loss, the difference between inspired action and frantic effort, and how creating something you’re proud of can help you reconnect with your body, intuition, and future. If you’re on a conception journey, navigating postpartum, or wondering whether your next breakthrough might come from building a life you love, I hope this episode speaks to you. Dropping ‘Miserable Mom’ Culture and Stepping Into Your MILF Era with Kaisha Slaughter

Miserable mom culture is breaking down, and Kaisha Slaughter explains why intuition, not guilt, is the way out. If you have ever felt overwhelmed by postpartum depression, ignored your own instincts, or wondered why motherhood can feel like losing yourself, this conversation will hit hard. Mother Muse host Kate Dove sits down with Kaisha Slaughter, intuitive energetic healer, medium, spiritual teacher, and host of the MILF Era podcast, for a raw conversation about postpartum healing, C-sections, and reclaiming your power as a mom. Kaisha shares how training her intuition helped her move from years of postpartum rage, anxiety, and depression into a radically different experience with her second baby. You’ll discover: * The difference between being a psychic medium and a trained intuitive * Why so many moms get drowned out by outside opinions and how to trust yourself again * How Kaisha used intuition and neuroscience to heal her body, shift her mindset, and rebuild her life * Why C-sections, pelvic floor pain, breastfeeding guilt, and postpartum rage can all carry deeper emotional meaning * What “MILF energy” actually means and why it starts with self-love, not external validation Kate and Kaisha also get real about the pressure moms face to become smaller, quieter, and less visible after having children. Keisha breaks down the programming that tells women they are “just moms,” why that belief can keep you stuck in shame and burnout, and how small daily choices can help you put yourself first without guilt. If you’re in the thick of postpartum, trying to make sense of your body, or ready to stop outsourcing your decisions to everyone else, this episode offers both permission and practical tools.
