A scarcity mindset isn't always about how much money you have. You can make good money, pay your bills, have savings, and still feel like you'll never have enough. In this episode of Blessed Beyond the Stress, we're talking about the truth about scarcity versus abundance, how your childhood money experiences can shape your financial mindset today, and how to recognize when fear, not wisdom, is making your financial decisions. I share my own story of realizing that even though I considered myself a generous person fear was keeping me from being generous with my money. I believed that if I could just earn more then I could finally feel secure enough to give.  We'll talk about: What a scarcity mindset actually looks like Signs you may be making money decisions out of fear. How your family's relationship with money can shape your beliefs today The difference between scarcity mindset and an abundance mindset Abundance does not mean pretending money is unlimited. How to tell the difference between financial wisdom and financial fear Generosity, tithing, and my own struggle with fear of not having enough #ScarcityMindset #AbundanceMindset #MoneyMindset #ChristianFinance #FaithAndMoney #BiblicalStewardship #FinancialMindset #FinancialConfidence

The Best Financial Lesson I Ever Taught My Daughter Started with Her First Paycheck

Join the Money Makeover Challenge at blessedbeyondthestress.com What should you teach your child about money when they earn their very first paycheck? When my 14-year-old daughter received her first paycheck from her first “real” job, I knew the trip to the bank was about more than opening a checking account. It was an opportunity to teach her financial lessons and money habits she could carry with her for the rest of her life. In this episode of Blessed Beyond the Stress, I’m sharing the simple system I taught her that day: Give. Save. Spend. We’ll talk about why I encourage her to save 15% of every paycheck, how we established a checking-account buffer, why I give her freedom to spend the rest, and what happened when she wanted an Xbox that wasn't in our family Christmas budget.  But this episode isn't really about raising a teenager who is good at saving money. It's about preparing our children to become adults who can make confident, intentional financial decisions. Because our homes aren't just places where our children are protected—they're where they're prepared. And whether someone begins learning these lessons at 14, 23, or 40, it's never too late to develop healthier money habits. Every paycheck is another opportunity to practice wisdom, learn from mistakes, build confidence, and become a better steward of what you've been given. If you're a parent wondering how to teach your kids about money, how much teenagers should save, what to do with a child's first paycheck, or how to raise financially responsible kids, this episode is for you. Why Making More Money Won't Fix Your Financial Stress

Join the Money Makeover Challenge at blessedbeyondthestress.com Have you ever thought, "If I could just make more money, I wouldn't be so stressed about money?" I believed that too.  In this episode of Blessed Beyond the Stress, I'm sharing one of the most personal parts of my financial journey—from standing in a grocery store checkout line terrified there wouldn’t be enough money on my debit card, to earning more than I ever had before and realizing that more income still hadn’t created financial peace. That realization changed the way I approached money.I stopped asking, “How can I make more?” and started asking, “What am I doing with the money I already have?”That question led me to face every bill, create a plan, and hang a paper chain in our living room that my daughter and I slowly cut apart as I paid off my debt. With every payment, I wasn't just changing my financial situation—I was building trust and confidence in myself.Over time, I discovered something I now teach other women:Developing financial discernment is the most effective way to build lasting wealth with confidence. In this episode, we talk about: Why making more money doesn't automatically eliminate financial stressThe connection between financial clarity and confidenceHow small, intentional financial decisions compound over timeWhy learning to trust yourself with money mattersHow financial discernment can help you stop reacting from fear and start leading your family, business, and life with clarity and confidenceYou don't have to transform your entire financial life today.Sometimes it begins with one decision, one follow-through, one payment, and one faithful step at a time.If you're ready to start changing the way you think about and manage your money, join me for the Money Makeover Challenge at blessedbeyondthestress.com.And if this episode encouraged you, subscribe or follow Blessed Beyond the Stress and share it with another woman who needs to hear this message.I’ve lived both sides of the journey, and I truly believe the same God who carried me through survival is now teaching me how to steward abundance.
