    In this episode, Eric Elliott shares what has impacted him most about the Wyoming Rescue Mission and why he ultimately chose to come on staff: the incredible transformation and life change he has witnessed in people's lives. Eric acknowledges that this work is far from easy. Serving people experiencing homelessness is filled with heartbreak, setbacks, and significant challenges—but the breakthroughs make the journey incredibly meaningful. He discusses the negative assumptions people often have about those experiencing homelessness, including beliefs that they are simply lazy or addicted. Eric emphasizes that every person's recovery journey is unique. Real transformation doesn't come from treating everyone the same way, but from meeting people where they are, understanding their individual circumstances, and walking alongside them toward hope and change.
