    England shine as Portugal struggle

England made the perfect start to their 2026 FIFA World Cup campaign with an entertaining 4-2 victory over Croatia, but are there still warning signs beneath the surface? In Episode 7 of FIFA World Cup On The Ground with Sporty TV, Ade Oladipo and Kweku Afari react to England’s impressive win as Harry Kane scored twice and Jude Bellingham delivered another outstanding performance. While there was plenty to be encouraged by going forward, the pair discuss whether England’s defensive lapses could become a problem later in the tournament. The episode also looks back at Ghana’s dramatic late victory over Panama. It wasn’t always pretty, but the Black Stars found a way to get the job done and secure a huge three points in their opening World Cup match. One of the biggest talking points from the day came in Portugal’s disappointing draw with DR Congo. While DR Congo celebrated a historic point in their first World Cup match, attention quickly turned to Cristiano Ronaldo and his role within the Portugal team. Ade and Kweku discuss whether Ronaldo should remain a starter, if he would be more effective coming off the bench, and whether Roberto Martínez is facing the same challenges he encountered with Belgium’s golden generation. With Lionel Messi having just scored a hat-trick for Argentina, comparisons between the two football icons are once again impossible to ignore. The episode also previews Canada’s upcoming match against Oman and Switzerland’s clash with Bosnia and Herzegovina as the group stage continues to gather momentum. Topics include: • England 4-2 Croatia reaction • Harry Kane scores twice for England • Jude Bellingham shines again • Are England’s defensive issues a concern? • Ghana’s dramatic win over Panama • Portugal’s disappointing draw with DR Congo • Cristiano Ronaldo debate: starter or super-sub? • Roberto Martínez under pressure? • Messi vs Ronaldo at the 2026 World Cup • DR Congo’s historic first World Cup point • Canada vs Oman preview • Switzerland vs Bosnia and Herzegovina preview FIFA World Cup On The Ground with Sporty TV follows Ade Oladipo and Kweku Afari across North America throughout the 2026 FIFA World Cup, bringing you reaction, analysis, predictions and behind-the-scenes stories from football’s biggest tournament. 📩 Join Ade’s mailing list for exclusive updates: https://subscribepage.io/adeoladipo-signup 📺 Watch the full episode on YouTube: www.youtube.com/@AdeOladipo1 🐦 Follow Ade on X: https://x.com/ade_oladipo1 📸 Follow on Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/ade.oladipo/ 🎵 TikTok: https://www.tiktok.com/@ade_oladipo 📘 Facebook:  https://www.facebook.com/Itsadeoladipo/ ✉️ Email: adeoladipo@connexos.co.uk ⚽️ Check out my football channel on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/@ADEOLADIPOTALKSFOOTBALL Learn more about your ad choices. FIFA World Cup On The Ground with Sporty TV | Mbappé Shines, Haaland Arrives, Messi Rolls Back the Years

France, Norway and Argentina all made major statements at the 2026 FIFA World Cup, and Ade Oladipo is here to break it all down. Flying solo for Episode 6 of FIFA World Cup On The Ground with Sporty TV, Ade reacts to France’s 3-0 victory over Senegal. Despite a sluggish first half and a spirited performance from Senegal, the quality of Kylian Mbappé, Bradley Barcola and Michael Olise proved too much in the end as France shifted through the gears to secure a comfortable win. Ade discusses why France remain his favourites to win the World Cup, while also giving credit to Senegal, who created opportunities of their own and may feel the scoreline was harsher than their performance deserved. The episode also looks back at Erling Haaland’s long-awaited World Cup debut. The Norwegian striker scored twice in a convincing victory over Iraq and immediately showed why many believe he could challenge for the Golden Boot. With Martin Ødegaard pulling the strings behind him, Ade explains why Norway could be one of the tournament’s dark horses. Attention then turns to Lionel Messi and Argentina. The defending champions opened their campaign with a 3-0 win over Algeria, with Messi rolling back the years to score a stunning hat-trick. Argentina looked comfortable throughout, but Ade asks whether the result tells us more about Argentina’s quality or Algeria’s disappointing display. Plus, a preview of England’s opening World Cup match against Croatia. Will Thomas Tuchel trust Jude Bellingham or Morgan Rogers in midfield? What role will John Stones play in the side? And can England make the start their fans are hoping for? There’s also a look at Ghana’s clash with Panama, off-field issues surrounding Ghana’s squad, and the latest transfer news involving Real Madrid. Topics include: • France 3-0 Senegal reaction • Why France remain World Cup favourites • Kylian Mbappé, Bradley Barcola and Michael Olise impress • Erling Haaland scores twice on his World Cup debut • Norway’s dark horse credentials • Argentina 3-0 Algeria reaction • Lionel Messi’s World Cup hat-trick • Can Argentina retain the World Cup? • England vs Croatia preview • Jude Bellingham or Morgan Rogers? • Thomas Tuchel’s selection decisions • Ghana vs Panama preview • Real Madrid’s latest transfer plans • Dumfries, Bernardo Silva and other transfer stories FIFA World Cup On The Ground with Sporty TV follows Ade Oladipo across North America throughout the 2026 FIFA World Cup, bringing you reaction, analysis, predictions and behind-the-scenes stories from football’s biggest tournament. 📩 Join Ade’s mailing list for exclusive updates: https://subscribepage.io/adeoladipo-signup 📺 Watch the full episode on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/@ADEOLADIPOTALKSFOOTBALL 🐦 Follow Ade on X: https://x.com/ade_oladipo1 📸 Follow on Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/ade.oladipo/ 🎵 TikTok: https://www.tiktok.com/@ade_oladipo 📘 Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/Itsadeoladipo/ ✉️ Email: adeoladipo@connexos.co.uk Learn more about your ad choices. 3. FIFA World Cup On The Ground with Sporty TV | Spain Stumble, France Begin, Haaland Arrives

FIFA World Cup On The Ground with Sporty TV | Spain Stumble, France Begin, Haaland Arrives

Spain’s 0-0 draw with Cape Verde has produced one of the biggest stories of the 2026 FIFA World Cup so far. In Episode 5 of FIFA World Cup On The Ground with Sporty TV, Ade Oladipo and Kweku Afari react to a stunning result that has left serious questions hanging over Spain’s World Cup credentials. Cape Verde defended brilliantly, restricted one of the tournament favourites to very few clear chances, and almost pulled off one of the greatest upsets in World Cup history. The story of the night was Cape Verde’s goalkeeper, whose incredible performance turned him into an overnight global superstar. He started the match with fewer than 10,000 Instagram followers and ended it with more than 7 million after frustrating Spain for 90 minutes in front of a worldwide audience. Ade and Kweku discuss whether Spain are still among the favourites to win the World Cup, why the absence of top performances from Lamine Yamal and Nico Williams was so noticeable, and whether Rodri’s post-match comments were a sign of frustration from a side that expected to win comfortably. The pair also look back at Belgium’s disappointing draw with Egypt. Mohamed Salah impressed in a new role, Omar Marmoush caused problems throughout, and Belgium’s ageing squad continues to raise questions about whether their golden generation has finally reached its end. Looking ahead, attention turns to the arrival of some of the tournament’s biggest stars. France begin their campaign against Senegal with Kylian Mbappé, Michael Olise and Bradley Barcola leading the charge, while Lionel Messi starts what is expected to be his final World Cup as Argentina take on Algeria. There’s also a preview of Erling Haaland’s long-awaited World Cup debut as Norway face Iraq, with Ade and Kweku discussing whether Haaland can become the tournament’s top scorer and how far Norway can realistically go. Topics include: • Spain 0-0 Cape Verde reaction • Cape Verde’s heroic defensive performance • The goalkeeper who gained over 7 million followers overnight • Are Spain still World Cup favourites? • Rodri’s post-match comments analysed • Belgium 1-1 Egypt reaction • Mohamed Salah and Omar Marmoush impress • France vs Senegal preview • Kylian Mbappé and France’s World Cup hopes • Argentina vs Algeria preview • Lionel Messi’s final World Cup campaign • Norway vs Iraq preview • Erling Haaland’s first World Cup appearance • Tino Livramento’s England withdrawal • Thomas Tuchel’s defensive options ahead of Croatia FIFA World Cup On The Ground with Sporty TV follows Ade Oladipo and Kweku Afari across North America throughout the 2026 FIFA World Cup, bringing you reaction, analysis, predictions and behind-the-scenes stories from football’s biggest tournament. 📩 Join Ade’s mailing list for exclusive updates: https://subscribepage.io/adeoladipo-signup 📺 Watch the full episode on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/@ADEOLADIPOTALKSFOOTBALL 🐦 Follow Ade on X: https://x.com/ade_oladipo1 📸 Follow on Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/ade.oladipo/ 🎵 TikTok: https://www.tiktok.com/@ade_oladipo 📘 Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/Itsadeoladipo/ ✉️ Email: adeoladipo@connexos.co.uk Learn more about your ad choices.
