Self-Trust: How to Stop Looking Outside Yourself for Answers—Toni LaMotta | Ep 15

What if some of the decisions you make today are still being controlled by promises you unknowingly made as a child? After spending 16 years in a convent under a vow of obedience, spiritual coach Toni LaMotta eventually realized how deeply she had learned to look outside herself for answers. She had been taught to trust authority rather than her own knowing—and years later, she began the journey of learning to trust herself again. But Toni discovered something even bigger: You don't have to enter a convent to take a vow. We can quietly make vows such as I have to be perfect, I need to be needed, I can't be vulnerable, or I have to keep everyone happy. These beliefs can become unconscious rules for how we live, love, work and make decisions. In this episode of Magnify Your Magnificence, Sue Paulson talks with Toni LaMotta, spiritual coach, Inner Compass Coach, internationally acclaimed speaker, accredited International Enneagram professional and Master Quantum Living Coach, about recognizing those hidden vows and reconnecting with the wisdom already inside you. You'll also discover Toni's simple 7-minute presence practice for reconnecting your body, heart and mind; how to distinguish your inner knowing from fear and outside expectations; why transformation requires more than collecting information; and what it means to develop what Toni calls ground trust. Why the Personal Growth Work Is Never Wasted: The Journey Back to Your Magnificence | Ep 10

Visit https://magnifywithsue.com/ to continue your journey toward recognizing, embracing and expressing your magnificence. Have you ever wondered why an old fear, painful pattern or limiting belief returned after you thought you had already dealt with it? It doesn’t mean that your previous work failed—or that you are back at the beginning. It may mean you are meeting the pattern from a new level of awareness, with more strength and understanding than you had before. In this episode of Magnify Your Magnificence, I share how an experience from my childhood taught me to suppress my natural joy, exuberance and self-expression. What began as an attempt to remain safe eventually became a pattern of playing small, staying quiet and carefully calculating how much of myself I could allow others to see. But even our survival patterns can contain unexpected gifts. In my case, staying quiet helped me become a careful observer, a compassionate listener and someone capable of recognizing what others were experiencing. Now, I’m learning how to keep those gifts without remaining trapped inside the box that created them. We explore why personal transformation is a lifelong journey, what it means when familiar struggles resurface and why rest is not a failure to grow. You do not have to exhaust yourself trying to become magnificent. Your magnificence is already within you—the work is learning to remember and express it. I also share the meaning behind changing the podcast’s name from Magnify with Sue to Magnify Your Magnificence and why the new name more clearly reflects the heart of this show.
