What started as Trump taking a victory lap over a renovation has turned into a self-inflicted catastrophe. He made it a spectacle, from the motorcade stunt to the Oval Office posters comparing it to skyscrapers to the bragging about work that would “last 50 years,” and then reality set in. This includes an algae bloom, blue paint peeling up, and now people getting arrested for putting their hands in the water to feel the blue paint. Instead of owning it, he’s blaming vandalism. This is a spectacular failure. Second, we follow the money. We walk through the donors and corporations pouring tens of millions into MAGA Inc., the inauguration, and the new White House ballroom. These include crypto exchanges, Big Tech, tobacco, oil and gas, defense contractors, and more. We talk about why this matters and the one form of leverage every one of us still has, which is deciding where our money goes. You’re not powerless. You vote with your wallet every single day. Third is the bigger picture. Trump is out of control, and the people who were supposed to be the guardrails have become enablers. We get into the Iran situation, the silence from those with the power to act, the attacks on the press, and the lies about an economy that millions of families are struggling to survive. The job now is to document everything, including who enabled it, who stayed silent, and who had the courage to speak, and to carry that record into the midterms. This is personal.
