Jeff Curto is a pioneer in educational broadcasting. In due course the name "podcast" and the underlying technology will no doubt become passé, but niche broadcasting to small, specialised audiences is here to stay and Jeff's contribution within that is significant.
Put simply, no other photography podcast comes close to the quality of the content in these recordings and Jeff is rightly getting attention for both the vision and the professionalism that shine through. Jeff and the progressive mangement at the College of DuPage in Glen Ellyn, Illinois should be proud of their contribution to photographic education. I just wish other educators would get the message that there is a worldwide audience for college-level material and that it all acts as fantastic (and extremely low cost) advertising for their establishments.
Understandably this podcast is highly visual so you'll probably find it easier to play in iTunes or Quicktime, but for when you're on the move you can still get good value from a viewing on any video-capable iPod or iPhone. The included slides are high quality, however, making the viewing experience as close to being in Jeff's class as possible.
For more excellent content, I heartily recommend you also try Jeff's other podcast, Camera Position.
