I’ve listened to the MJcast for many years at this point, but I thought I’d leave a review now after hearing of Jamon’s departure.
The MJcast is an essential resource for true Michael Jackson fans. Their greatest works are their interviews with collaborators and their album roundtables, with the new Destiny roundtable being one of their best. One of my favourite interviews they have done is with the always enigmatic Bryan Loren.
My least favourite episodes are those that are filled with drastic opinions on Michael’s public persona; on many matters, Charles Thompson strays from Michael Jackson “the artist” in order to focus on Michael Jackson “the tabloid sensation”. I happen to agree with him a lot of the time, but it would be nice to hear a discussion about the Invincible album, for instance, that just talks about the artist himself.
Nevertheless, I have loved this podcast for many years and would like to thank Jamon for the years of hard work he has put into it. It feels good to know that the MJcast will be in the safe hands of Shawn, Elise, Samar, Charlie x2, Damien etc. for many years to come
