From Tesla to machine learning: Noorvir Aulakhr | Innected #8

Noorvir Aulakh is the founder of Unweave, a platform providing machine learning engineers the ability to train their models on the cloud. If you are not into Machine learning, the only thing you need to know is that the quicker you can run operations, the quicker you'll get results. To do so, you usually need immense amounts of energy, GPUs or computers - hence most people switch to hosted services which provide that. But trust me, manually configuring cloud GPU instances and storage for machine learning is painful. (If you have ever handled a virtual machine you can imagine what it can mean to connect graphic cards and otpimize the workload). (I brutally stole the great copy from the website, so go there if you want to read more. Noorvir has always loved creating. To pursue this passion he followed a Mechanical Engineering undergrad which lead him to the realization that pure engineering was not from him. Thanks to his efforts, he got the chance to work in Tesla, which was one of the only companies which excited him. He got to meet Elon Musk and got a realization which very few people have the luck to have. Of course, you can hear about this in the episode. Along with his passion on building Unweave, Noorvir lives his life with the motto of "The day I die, what would I have had to have done in my life to look back and say I lived a decent life". Your world is going to be changed by... tokens? | Jenil Thakker | Innected #7

Jenil Thakker is the founder of Coinvise, a world-changing platform based on token creation. This is episode #7 of Innected and today we are going to interview Jenil. I think that to introduce how powerful this tool can be I must first introduce Open-Source projects. Imagine you create something and you share it online. Someone decides that it's great and loves it. So much so that when a problem comes up, he offers himself to fix it. If you take this concept to a worldwide scale you get a very basic idea of the dynamic behind an open source project. For some undefined reason, the amount of people willing to help and make better is usually bigger than the amount of people there to create mess. This is one of the reasons why Open-Source projects (where the source code is open to everyone) are some of the best performing around, like Android. Now if we want to answer the "why are they doing it" question, it gets trickier. Because now, we are looking at people either wanting to be seen, to enjoy a better experience, or just having fun coding and creating. But all in all, these people still have to work their way towards a Job or an activity which lets them live in the normal economy. Think for a second of a way for people contributing to an open source project to receive back ownership in the project itself. Think that rather than having to wait for IPOs or pubblic offerings, a company had the chance to pubblically share a physical representation of equity. Tokens allow for that, and Coinvise is nothing more than a wonderful platform fully dedicated to Token creation and handling. Innected #5 | Rob Dickinson

Today we have had the pleasure of interviewing Rob Dickinson. As the title says, he is a speciment of an entrepreneur, with experience in over 11 startups. After this much experience, how does he decide in which projects to work? And how does he get co-workers? These two main questions are just a part of the interview, which ends with his great and peculiar advice to people wanting to be entrepreneurs. One thing we keep noticing here at Innected is how different each entrepreneur is. We talked with young people and older folks, people just starting out and, now, guys with over 11 startups on record. One may think that someone is born in a specific way and hence he is an entrepreneur. In my opinion, this couldn't be farther from the truth. All the people we have talked with came from different backgrounds, had different ideas and different ways of working. And yet, we all get labelled as entrepreneurs. Outsiders may think we are from another planet, but something in our head switched and we couldn't go back. Italian writer Luigi Pirandello calls this phenomenon an "Epiphany". It's a point which makes us snap out of reality and doesn't let us go back to it. Luckily for us, by using the top 100 richest humans as a meter, this snap can be very profitable. But being rich is not the only part to being an entrepreneur. It's hard. It's a roller coaster of highs and downs, and it's definitely not easier than any other career. It's a career which one cannot simply put into a linear chart and explain. It's a solo career. This is why Rob calls for [SPOILERS AHEAD] Being relentless. When we snap out, we can find ourselves alone, without anyone to explain our feelings to. But it's not the truth.
