Understanding home and finding safety within

Home is a simple word with many layers of meaning, feeling, and nuance. In this episode, we invite you to explore what home feels like to you in a short visualisation. We then dive into stories about our childhood homes, immigrating, what influences our perception of home in adult life, and the nervous system tools we’ve collected that help foster a feeling of home and safety within. TIPS FROM THE SHOW Ways to soothe the nervous system and come back to a feeling of home within: Somatic exercises like placing your right hand on your heart and your left hand onto your other arm so you hug yourself. Rest here for as long as you like. Colouring in Humming and tuning into bodily vibrations Singing Speaking with / writing letters to your inner child to reassure them you are here for them, they are safe, etc. Placing a hand on part of your body and feeling your aliveness there (it could be your heart, belly, throat, etc.) CLOSING QUESTION How do you cultivate a home within yourself? --- To connect with us and become part of this community, find us on Instagram – Martyna can be found at @thekindspace, Alice is at @creative_tea_breaks Are you interested in menstrual cycle coaching and circles? 2. Becoming more present – mindfulness, rest, daily practices, business as a safe space, and self-care through creativity

    20/06/2025

Becoming more present – mindfulness, rest, daily practices, business as a safe space, and self-care through creativity

As we move out of spring and into summer, we explore one more ‘beginning’ by asking: How can we become more present and less attached to thoughts, the past, or the future? In this episode, we’re joined by a special guest, Maria Chietera – ICF-certified PCC Coach, Mindfulness Meditation and Yoga Teacher. So listen in as we move between personal stories about finding presence, the deeper meaning of mindfulness, Buddhist philosophy, grounding practices, and how life can be seen as a playful invitation to create, express, and just be. To close, soothe your nervous system with a gentle meditation led by our wonderful guest, Maria. You can find her at @maria.chietera.coach, and we highly recommend subscribing to her thoughtful and inspiring newsletter that we’re both huge fans of. Find it here. And since it’s Summer Solstice, as an extra bonus treat, we prepared some journal prompts for you to play around with: What have I learned about myself during this past season (spring)? As we enter the new outer season, in what areas of my life am I being invited to slow down and be more present? What would it look like to treat life more like a creative, playful experiment? What rituals or practices can I welcome in this summer to stay grounded and connected to myself? --- To connect with us and become part of this community, find us on Instagram – Martyna can be found at @thekindspace, Alice is at @creative_tea_breaks Are you interested in menstrual cycle coaching and circles?
