Into That World Inverted Diarmuid Hester

In a special bonus episode of Into That World Inverted, Holly and Diarmuid return to Kent where they chat with queer artists and writers who are all influenced by the coastal landscape and draw inspiration from it.

At Romney, Hythe, & Dymchurch railway station they meet Elisa Oliver, the director of Jarman Now-an arts initiative that explores the legacies of artist Derek Jarman. Together they set off for Dungeness and on the way meet Dr Noreen Masud, academic and author of the memoir A Flat Place; Kasra Jalilipour, a multidisciplinary Iranian artist, writer and educator who was an artist-in-residence at Prospect Cottage in 2023; and Dr Jonathan Whitehall, academic and artist whose photography and film is indebted to Jarman's iconoclastic work.
