Kill Every Monster is an award-winning Dungeons and Dragons podcast about every monster in the manual. Co-hosts Dylan and Aram are joined by a guest for a DM-deep-dive into a classic D&D monster. The first part is a discussion, and the second is a one-shot actual play where our guest takes on the role of the monster.
Dungeons & Dragons is many things to many people, but at its heart lies a system that rewards players for killing monsters. In each episode we ask three central questions:

What is this creature?

Are they really a monster?

How would you change them in Dungeons and Dragons?

Each episode of Kill Every Monster is a contained story, so you never have to worry about being caught up or listening out of order. Pick any monster you like and dive right in!
The show is free and available anywhere you get your podcasts. We are supported by listeners like you via Patreon where you can get ad-free versions of each episode a week early, and Patreon-exclusive bonus episodes like our DM Notes and and Cutting Room Floor series.

    Djinni

The Monster Manual describes jinni as “rare elemental creatures out of stories and legend. Only a few can be found on the Material Plane. The rest reside on the Elemental Planes, where they rule from lavish palaces.”

    Displacer Beast

    Displacer Beast

The Monster Manual describes Displacer Beasts as a “monstrous predator that takes its name from its ability to displace light so that it appears to be several feet away from its actual location. A displacer beast resembles a sleek great cat covered in blue-black fur. The beast’s eyes glow with an awful malevolence that persists even in death.”

Pixies for the win?

The guys and guests simply make so much sense, this is a solid lighthearted podcast with just enough info to be useful but enabling a prospective DM more than enough freedom to do so much more

That pixie episode could definitely be a paid one shot
It’s probably up there with honey heist
So for those in the know, grant howett will be insane not to reach out to these guys.

A Must Listen for TTRPG fans

Kill Every Monster blends fascinating, witty discussion of some of the most beloved and maligned monsters in D&D, with high energy, brilliantly produced actual play.

The premise is simple, but the result is often far deeper, with an incredible cadre of guests who bring fascinating insights and clarity to many creatures that, to be honest, are lacking such nuance within most mainstream media.

Easily consumed, often hilarious, and wonderfully produced. Kill Every Monster is a fantastic show and one I personally hope continues for a long time to come.
