    In Episode 4 our final Podcast in the series, we have a panel talk with Lighthouse CEO and Artistic Director Alli Beddoes, Programme Intern Elia Habib, creator of 'Echo' Georgie Pinn, and the creator of 'Common Ground' Darren Emerson. The panel talk was hosted at Lighthouse and comprised of questions from the Lighthouse team and the audience. The discussion explores the use of digital technologies such as virtual reality and how they can be used to further human empathy. In October 2019, for the Brighton Digital Festival, Lighthouse presented selected works from the Sheffield Doc/Fest's Alternate Realities.     In Episode 1, our Senior Producer Sian Habell-Aili talks to Darren Emerson, creator of Common Ground, which centres on the Aylesbury Estate, which was home to thousands of Londoners - a concrete monument to the history and legacy of social housing in the UK. Common Ground is a devastating yet beautiful 30-minute virtual reality documentary showing a stark insight into the realities of gentrification and social cleansing.     Lighthouse maintenance tools: Emma Wickham and Eva Rowson Curator Eva Rowson concludes the podcast series in conversation with Lighthouse Head of Operations, Emma Wickham. They share their favourite ‘Lighthouse maintenance tools’ to reflect on how the building works, what keeps it going – and who’s doing the washing up. Emma Wickham is Head of Operations and joined Lighthouse as Administrator in 2005. Emma leads on venue and commercial development, oversees the smooth running of our office and venue, manages our operations team and oversees event management and project support for all Lighthouse activities. She is the heart and soul of the organisation and can often be found providing the warmest welcome in Brighton to our guests, visitors, audiences, colleagues and tenants at Lighthouse. Light+ Who's doing the washing up? is a series of podcasts documenting Curator in Residence Eva Rowson’s six month programme (January – July 2019) ‘Who’s doing the washing up – where’s the sink?’ exploring the role of hospitality at Lighthouse. Music for the podcast series is taken from a collection of new arrangements composed and recorded by artist Aliyah Hussain, made when working on her forthcoming EP (Bloxham Tapes), based on the science fiction novel Native Tongue by Suzette Haden Elgin.
