Waffle

There is no purpose - it’s absolute waffle from
a privileged woman with very little life experience.

Sadly incredibly vapid

I don’t like leaving bad reviews but I have to say these podcast episodes are completely vapid, wildly ignorant and as other reviewers have said - the utter lack of a acknowledgment of privilege completely blocks me from being able to take anything from them. I’ve followed Niomi on social media over the years and listening to these podcasts where it’s clear she doesn’t have a job that doesn’t involve self-promotion (likely has passive income coming in monthly) - yet doesn’t acknowledge in any of her podcasts this is why she has the freedom to frolic and play and “move” to Bali (I don’t call going on extending holidays “moving” to different countries but she does. What she fails to acknowledge is that most people don’t have the ability to do this so if she wants to be relatable she needs to understand this is not possible for most. Not for lack of trying or yearning but because for many they haven’t had the luck and is privilege she has. The utter disregard for this makes it impossible to listen to. Big struggles for Niomi are not having the car she wanted available for the day, struggling with the lawyer aspect of buying a house or going through a tough break-up, things most people go through and so much more. Sorry Niomi but this podcast comes across as totally self-serving. If you’re going to make the effort of creating a podcast that is solely your voice - no guests, no experts - you need to have some useful meaningful words to say and you simply don’t.

Check your privilege!

I often like this genre of podcast but after listening to all the episodes so far I just can’t get over the lack of acknowledgement of privilege! So many ‘solutions’ to problems seem to be things that just aren’t an option for most people but there’s never any addressing of this. Also, advice on relationships, life etc based on what? What makes this person experienced enough/qualified to talk about it? Perhaps she’d be better off interviewing people who have actually been through real hardships?
