The Body Conversation Nobody Asked For In 2021

The Body Conversation Nobody Asked For In 2021

Last week, actor/comedian/writer Jonah Hill posted something on social media that went viral. Something about his body, and people's fascination with its changed shape. The substance of his post is about common sense, but for some, it's an entirely alien idea - that you should never comment on someone’s body. Ever.

Plus, a list of demands from your menopausal colleagues

Would You Like Lipo With That?

When it comes to upselling, there are some things we can get around. Upsizing your meal? Yes, we want fries with that, but it's a different kind of up-sell that we're talking about today; the rise of upselling cosmetic procedures.

Plus, a controversial opinion about colleagues and kids.

And our best and worst, which ranges as always, from the very serious, like loss, to the very frivolous, like… hair.

The Fastest Way To Lose Any Argument

The Fastest Way To Lose Any Argument

Yesterday, Australia lost someone very, very significant. The self-proclaimed Happiest Man On Earth - Eddie Jaku.  Eddie was 101 years old, a best-selling author, a holocaust survivor, and a German-born Jew whose parents were murdered in the gas chambers of Auschwitz. Eddie’s mission was to teach people not to hate. It’s beyond ironic then, that also yesterday, an Australian influencer dressed her family up in yellow stars, supposedly to represent the Star of David that Jewish people in Nazi-occupied Europe were forced to wear. So what was her message? And why is it such a lazy and dangerous comparison?

Plus, we need to talk about Megan Fox and Machine Gun Kelly’s latest interview. Are they 2021's answer to Angelina Jolie and Billy Bob Thornton?

And should we stop telling women they have imposter syndrome?

    The End Bits:

Recommendations: Mia wants you to preorder the illustrated edition of Eddie Jaku's book, The Happiest Man on Earth, out November 9.

Amazing podcast!

I found this podcast when i lived in australia (i’m english) and unfortunately had to move back to the UK last year due to covid. But i am still an avid listener after over 3 years - their conversation is relevant to wherever you live and whatever age. Their topics are always diverse and always make me look at news stories from a different perspective. I couldn’t recommend this podcast enough!

Love it!

As an Aussie living the UK with no chance of getting home anytime soon this show is my look into what Aussie women are speaking about and a way of keeping in touch with what my friends are talking about!!! (My mum is very impressed every week when I know all the goss). You really have been ‘friends in my ears’ during a long year of lockdowns! Thank you and wonderful podcast!

Adr12nne ,

Thought provoking, engaging, and fun

Love this podcast. I’m only new to listening but it has quickly found its way into heavy rotation! I love that the three women don’t seek to agree with or reinforce each other’s views. They each bring something different and I love the debate, challenges, and genuine curiosity within the conversations. Thanks ladies and keep it up!!
