In Part 2 of the Unloved Daughter / Mother Wound series, we journey deeper into the tender places where our unmet needs first learned to hide. In this episode, I explore how the mother wound shapes the way we relate to ourselves—how it teaches us to push our own needs aside, to treat our feelings like chores, and to grow irritated with ourselves for simply being human. I share a personal chapter from my solo travels in Mexico, where I learned to mother myself with compassion and gentleness. In that sacred space, I finally understood what it felt like to respond to my needs with softness instead of resistance. And I realized… this is one of the hidden signatures of the mother wound & The unloved daughter. We’ll also dive into the truth that every one of us carries a Divine Mother within—an inner presence whose only purpose is to nurture, comfort, and hold us. The Unloved daughter/Mother wound

In this short episode, we explore the wound of the unloved daughter — the deep ache that forms when our mothers or caregivers were unable to meet our emotional needs in childhood. This wound can shape the way we see ourselves, the love we believe we deserve, and how safe we feel in the world. When we grow up without the nurturing and emotional attunement we needed, parts of our spirit often fragment — separating to protect us from unbearable pain. But true healing comes when we begin to journey back into that darkness, with gentleness and courage, to rescue those lost parts and bring them back home to our hearts. It is possible to heal. How many identities do you carry that are not yours?

Leaves can represent the identities that no longer serve you. That aren't allowing you to absorb the sunlight you deserve in order to be the beautiful, resilient tree you are meant to become. How many identities do you carry that came from the external, such as people's feelings or perceptions? How many times have you identified someone based on your own feelings? It's okay! No need to feel shame. This is a safe space to heal, learn, and feel inspired! With special guest: Diana Estrella. Surviving and leaving The Potter’s House: Vicenta’s story

Vicenta sent me a message asking if she could share her story for the very first time since leaving The Potter’s House CFM in 2020. Vicenta’s story is her own personal experience and is shared in her own words allegedly. She shares how she was sucked in by “the community” and gatherings that helped her loneliness after moving to Colorado. But soon all her time and focus was demanded. She became a “leader’s wife” and then a “pastor’s wife” inside this highly authoritarian organization. She claims she suffered suicidal tendencies while “pastoring” a baby church and pleaded for help but was denied compassion and was instead told to “suck it up”. She admits her children is the only reason she continued and is still her with us today. She shares her story without blame but with a desire to prove to others that may be wanting to leave The Potter’s House CFM but are too afraid that there is “life after The Potter’s House”.
