Marx Madness

I’ve been looking for something like this for a while and was really looking forward to this but I found one of the guys in the commentary too intense and shouty. I’m sure it’s great content but a bit too full on for me. Great work doing what you’re doing. Keep it up.

Fantastic listening. A must-listen for real socialists and communists. In the UK we are starved of genuine internationalism. The socialists here can be v narrow and don’t generally recognise the importance of Lenin, Cuba, Che, Mao, Irish Republicanism, Black Panthers, Fanon etc. So it’s FANTASTIC to hear you guys taking Revolution seriously and talking so widely. Thanks for a great podcast. And VIVA David and Nathan. PS. What about something on James Connelly people?

I’ve listened to the episodes covering State and Revolution and up to chapter 23 of Capital at the time of writing while reading along myself. David and Nathan do an excellent job at selecting the most relevant material from each chapter, explaining it in a easily digestible way and relating it back to current events where relevant to provide context to the listener and aid understanding of the material covered. Marx Madness is ideal as a discussion to listen to after reading to help to distill the material and gain a firmer understanding, or as a replacement for reading the texts if you prefer. If it wasn’t for Marx Madness it is unlikely that I would have even attempted to read Capital but knowing that I get to listen to another great episode of Marx Madness after each section provides motivation to keep reading. I can’t recommend this enough to anyone with an interest in learning theory, regardless of whether they want to read along themselves or not.
