The one with Michael Cloonan and how his gift of ADHD has enabled him to succeed as an entrepreneur
The one with Michael Cloonan and how his gift of ADHD has enabled his success as an entrepreneur.
Michael’s been an entrepreneur since the age of 16. He also has ADHD but this is only something he’s recently had the diagnosis for.
For years, he didn’t understand how he could be so intense about his ventures yet at the same time get equally distracted, depressed and lost in his own thoughts. He says it was like swinging on a pendulum.
The same force that was taking him up in life was also pulling him straight back down. Unaware of what was going on he just carried on until he had a break down and pretty much lost everything.
But he began to learn more about ADHD and now coaches those who are easily distracted.
On this episode Michael shares his story about how he discovered he has ADHD, the challenges but also the gifts it brings.
We talk about how are brains are wired differently. And he shares some techniques for those who may be easily distracted.
The one with Lisa Wimberger - how being struck by lightning on her 15th birthday profoundly shaped her life
The one with Lisa Wimberger and how being struck by lightning on her 15th birthday profoundly shaped her life. Because for the years to follow she experienced seizures that would 'take her out'.
Her heart would stop, her brain would shut off and she would experience cyanosis (when you turn blue).
Lisa says her body was in effect 'playing dead.'
She was told there was nothing that could be done about her seizures and her flatlining. But she was given a name for this and a cause - stress.
Not accepting nothing could be done, and saying that she'd grown up rising to overcome anyone who told her she couldn't do something, she dedicated herself to researching neuroscience and the practice of self-directed neuroplasticity. And she combined this with her meditation practice.
This led her to create the truly unique practice of Neurosculpting®
which she used to heal herself. She's never had a seizure since.
It's now a practice that has been helping so many people - from those in law enforcement through to leaders in organisations - to release the grip of stress, trauma and negative thought patterns. And is helping others to create the beliefs and stories which inspire us to achieve what we want and deserve in our daily lives.
This episode is timed for the launch of Neurosculpting® in the UK, as I become the UK's first certified Neurosculpting® facilitator to help people through and recover from the stress of the pandemic. And to enable you to live a mojo filled life with greater health, wealth and happiness.
In this episode Lisa shares her remarkable story, the neuroscience, how Neurosculpting® works and how it can be applied to help you navigate daily life with less stress, overwhelm and with more confidence.
