Football, beautifully drawn.

If words were colour, this would be a masterpiece. Variety, humour, nostalgia, past traced to present and back again. Voices from the past, entwining town and club with Val McDermid; pride of an uncle in those closing words with Cathy Jamison. Crisp packets and Chris McQueer; Football as art and the emperor’s clothes of the football casual. And the best polished table in Scottish football. This is a work of art. Every episode. Treat yourself.

Consistently brilliant

Even if you don’t follow Scottish football intensely you will enjoy this podcast - the way Daniel Gray interviews his guests is a masterclass in letting a subject breathe, teasing out the humour and idiosyncrasies that every football supporter can identify with.
