I started listening to this a month or so ago and have now steamed my way through almost every episode. Whilst it is about working in academia, it is not just for academics but for anyone who works a busy job where they need to balance thinking and doing time. It regularly makes me laugh out loud - Inger and Jason have the best laughs. And everything sounds better with Australian accents. Whilst it’s labelled as being about productivity it’s also so much more than that. The snoopy sociologist in me loves hearing how other people run their working lives, their frustrations and challenges and - more importantly - how they are trying to handle them. I feel like I spend a lot of time listening to people (including myself) whining about work. Hearing people move from the problems to actions (based on evidence) is refreshing and inspirational. I also love the fact it talks about life as well as work and I definitely do not advise skipping the parts that talk about teslas, jeeps, kids, epic trips, diet & exercise attempts. And on a more serious note, listening to the Covid times episodes made me acknowledge that we all still pretty battle scarred from all those experiences. Kudos and gratitude to Rowena Murray for recommending it. I am now also recommending it at least once a day to other people.
