    Episode 62 is here and what a brilliant conversation this was. Joining me this week is PGA Professional Millie May Tiller, and let me tell you, Millie has the kind of personality that can brighten anyone’s day. Her energy is infectious, and I came away from this podcast in such a good mood. Millie started golf at a very young age thanks to her parents, especially her mum, who played a huge role in introducing her to the game and supporting her journey. We don’t go too deeply into it, but losing her mum has undoubtedly had a huge impact on Millie’s life. Despite that, she continues to make her mum proud through everything she achieves, both on and off the golf course, including raising money for charity in her honour. While that experience affected her competitive side for a period, don’t let that fool you. Millie may be enjoying her golf more than ever, but she’ll still do everything she can to beat you on the course. Joined by Barry Waearing (fndgolfer), current Scottish Open champion for golfers with disabilities, we dive into a conversation that goes far beyond golf. Barry lives with FND often described as “the most common uncommon condition” and while he does incredible work raising awareness everywhere he goes, this episode also reminds you that he is far more than his condition. He’s a brilliant golfer, a genuine competitor, and an even better person. We start with his incredible Scottish Open victory before getting into some deeper conversations around FND. Barry was incredibly open and honest answering questions, helping normalise discussions around conditions people may not fully understand. We talk about:  His golf journey and Scottish Open win  The daily physical and mental struggles of living with FND  What golf can do for mental health and routine  What needs to change in golf to create more competitive opportunities for disabled golfers  WITB and golf ball chat  The most important thing golfers should practice  The future of golf simulators  And of course, a round of This or That Honestly, this was one of the most eye-opening and enjoyable conversations I’ve had on the podcast.
