Great modern production of a moral tale from Ibsen! The central question for Peer Gynt’s life, is to be himself. However, this question has two answers: “man, to thyself be true,” “troll, to thyself be- enough.” Peer Gynt has became a troll by obsessively wanting to be himself by himself. That to preserve himself is enough. But maybe it is not true that one can be oneself by oneself, one can only be oneself by others. This audio production brings this question to life! (And I love the reference to Educating Rita in the introduction.)
