What Are My 7 Best Accessories For Mobile Phone Photography?  Hi and welcome to Episode 78 of the Photography Explained podcast.

I’m your host Rick, and in each episode I will explain one photographic thing to you in plain English in less than 10 minutes (ish) without the irrelevant details. What I tell you is based on my lifetime of photographic experience. And not Google.

    Here is my answer
My 7 best accessories for my iPhone for photography are a mini tripod, an adaptor to hold the phone, a Lumecube light, a Rode Microphone, a DJI Osmo and a waterproof case. And from time to time pebbles on the beach. And to be honest these are the only accessories that I have for my iPhone XS. Well apart from the case that is. OK so that is 7 things and not 5 as I originally planned.

If Phone Cameras Are So Good, Should You Buy A Digital Camera In 2021?

If Phone Cameras Are So Good, Should You Buy A Digital Camera In 2021?

If Phone Cameras Are So Good, Should You Buy A Digital Camera In 2021? Hi and welcome to Episode 77 of the Photography Explained podcast.

I’m your host Rick, and in each episode I will explain one photographic thing to you in plain English in less than 10 minutes (ish) without the irrelevant details. What I tell you is based on my lifetime of photographic experience. And not Google.

    Here is my answer
Phone cameras are amazing these days but cameras in my opinion give you better chances to take better photos. Cameras have larger sensors, and access to a much wider range of higher quality lenses and other camera accessories. And you cannot beat the ergonomics and handling of a great camera. So yes, in 2021 digital cameras are still well worth buying.

Is It Better To Take Photos With A Camera Or A Phone?

Is It Better To Take Photos With A Camera Or A Phone?

Is It Better To Take Photos With A Camera Or A Phone? Hi and welcome to Episode 76 of the Photography Explained podcast.

I’m your host Rick, and in each episode I will explain one photographic thing to you in plain English in less than 10 minutes (ish) without the irrelevant details. What I tell you is based on my lifetime of photographic experience. And not Google.

    Here is my answer
It is better that you take photos than not take photos. It is not better to take photos with a camera or a phone, it just depends on what you have with you, and what you want from the photos. If you are doing a high end shoot then fine, use a fancy camera. And if you are on a walk in the park then fine, use your phone. And for everything else in between? It really does not matter. Enjoying photography is what matters.
Right, I am glad I got that off my chest.

What Are The Main Differences Between A Phone Camera And A Camera? Hi and welcome to Episode 75 of the Photography Explained podcast.

I’m your host Rick, and in each episode I will explain one photographic thing to you in plain English in less than 10 minutes (ish) without the irrelevant details. What I tell you is based on my lifetime of photographic experience. And not Google.

    Here is my answer
Phone cameras have smaller sensors than cameras, have fixed lenses and are used in a slightly different way than cameras to take photos. The accessories you can get for phones are relatively limited. Cameras have larger sensors and you can change the lenses. There are more accessories available for cameras than there are for phones. Cameras are generally still better than phones for taking photos, but you can get great photos with phones.
