    Introducing: 'Dirt Cheap'

    Introducing: 'Dirt Cheap'

"Dirt Cheap" is a new podcast from Neon Hum Media that digs deep into the dollar bins of used bookstores and your grandmother’s storage unit in search of pulp, sass and questionable grammar. Guided by hosts, Amanda Meadows and Geoffrey Golden, each season will explore a forgotten and discarded pulp novel culled from the dust-bin of literary history, reenacting it’s pages through narration and sound design---stopping and starting to respond and bring its oddity and hilarity occasionally into relief.

Subscribe to Dirt Cheap on Apple Podcasts or wherever you listen to podcasts.

No jam?

I heard a review for this on BBCR4 and it sounded fun. I’ve only listened to one episode so far but my first impression was disappointment. Two people discussing a classic song based on google research, and the bit I waited for (the jan) seemed to be missing (I actually rewound and heard a scrap). If the point of the podcast is to Punch up the Jam then PUNCH IT AND PLAY IT. Will give it another whirl before I unsubscribe and revise this review if it gets better.

Love This podcast!

I love this podcast so much and have been listening from the very beginning. I think Miel is hilarious, and has a great rapport with most guests. I just wish she was a bit more confident in her musical skills and knowledge! Her punch ups are normally hilarious, but sometimes they are actually very beautiful and she should be very proud!
