    Sometimes licence conditions for project approvals can cause damage. On this radioactive show, we look at the damage Vimy Resources is causing in their attempt to get approval to mine uranium at Mulga Rock, and how conditions set by the Malaysian Government have got Lynas in a rush to process Rare Earths in WA. We hear from Nuclear Free Campaigner at the Conservation Council of WA, Mia Pepper, about the Vimy Resources plan to establish WA’s first ever uranium mine at Mulga Rock, and how the community is determined to stop it.     On today’s show, we hear from two of the speakers at the Nuclear: No Climate Solution forum coordinated by the Friends of the Earth Nuclear Free collective in conjunction with Blockade IMARC in October 2021. The event aimed to counter the nuclear propaganda campaign by explaining the real effects of the whole nuclear chain on our First Nations people, uranium mine workers and future generations. Arabunna elder Uncle Kevin Buzzacott and anti-nuclear and climate activist and former senator Scott Ludlam explain the risks, economic viability and realistic timelines for the so called 'solutions' that the nuclear industry proposes and why nuclear is a political dead cat.Nuclear power is not the 'green' solution to climate change it's presented to be. For more information, check out Don't Nuke the Climate and Friends of the Earth's Nuclear Free Collective.

    This Radioactive Show explores the 'partnerships' between defence companies and schools.  Featuring interviews with Elise West, Executive officer of Medical Association for Prevention of War, who will discuss key issues in their recent report- Minors and Missiles.  Dr Bev Hall, who became alarmed at the influence of defence in education when in 2013 she discovered the local high schools her grandchildren attended were  ‘defence schools’, and set out to work in an alliance against this.  Later in the show we hear from Miriam Torzillo, about a new network opposing defence in schools as well as promoting peace and climate justice education.
