While I was thrilled at the idea of a podcast dedicated to all things Tomb Raider, I feel this one has missed the mark. The host while displaying a great affection for the franchise and a vast knowledge of the topic’s he discusses, its all very one sided. Most episodes start of with something relating to tomb raider then he will go off on tangents about his own thoughts and feelings about things that aren’t even to do with the video game. And in turn each episode starts to feel, unfinished and very biased. Even admittedly, the host frequently says that certain topics will be picked up in future episodes and so far we’ve been left hanging. While I understand this podcast is to unearth the real myths and legends that fuel the tomb raider story lines, so far, it feels like it’s just a 20 minute podcast where the host talks about what he wants to believe the true stories are and how he’s well known in the tomb raider community. I understand that it takes a lot of effort to produce a podcast and what direction to take it, but it’s early days and there is lots of room for improvement.
