    S1E9: Chapters 25-27

    In this episode, Circe tells Helios what’s what, becomes besties with Penelope, and finally finds true love! Before she can settle in for a cozy future, she has some monstrous tasks to button up. It’s got action, it’s got drama, it’s got romance - these last chapters are everything we wanted and more! AJ and Julia are finished with their Hawthorne tanks! Will Katie finish her straps in time for our wrap-up episode? What else is on our hooks and needles now that the official knit-a-long is done?

    S1E8: Chapters 22-24

    In this episode, Detective Circe figures out why her dead lover’s wife and son would choose to visit, and it’s not what we expected - Athena is pushing people's fates, yet again, and has plans for Telemachus. There are some cozy days on the island (and perhaps some love is brewing?), but it’s all borrowed time. Eventually, Athena shows up, but things don’t exactly go as planned. On the WIP front - we are finishing up! We will, indeed, be finished with our Hawthorne tanks in time for the finale - will you be done with yours?

    S1E7: Episodes 19-21

    In this episode, Momma Circe is at her wits' end keeping up with her son, Telegonus, and protecting him from the forces that would do him harm. As it turns out, the hardest thing about raising a child is that one day you have to let them go. That is, not before you ward their ship and arm them with the strongest weapon known to man. Off he goes for a surprise meeting with his father, half-brother, and stepmother. What could go wrong? We are all on track to finish our Hawthorne tanks by the end of our season! Just in time for the chill of winter.

    S1E6: Chapters 16-18

    In this episode, Circe and Odysseus get super cozy, but alas, their time draws to a close. She must help him on one more quest before they part for good, but is he really gone forever? A piece of those you love always stays with you, after all.    Some WIPS have turned into FOs and our Hawthorne tanks are still stitching up. We. Can. Do. It!!

    S1E5: Chapters 13-15

    In this episode, Circe welcomes unexpected visitors. Many of them, in fact. Some welcome, most not, and let’s just say she really flexes her witchcraft a LOT. Just when we think our girl may be losing touch with herself, one last visitor appears. He’s kind of a big deal.  The countdown of episodes has begun, along with the time left for our Hawthorne stitchalong. Can we do it!?

    S1E4: Chapters 10-12

    In this episode, Circe and Daedalus (aka “Daedy”) make it to Crete to find a pregnant Pasiphae in need of some birthing assistance with her…baby? Sure, we will call it a baby. Join us for the labyrinth-like twists and turns of chapters 10-12.  On the stitch-front, we take a breather from the Hawthorne Tank and share some other fun WIPs!

    S1E3: Circe, Chapters 7-9

    In this episode, we get familiar with the island, Aiaia, alongside Circe as she explores and experiments with herbs and finds her familiar. An unexpected visitor arrives and things get steamy, then Circe embarks on a dangerous journey (dun dun dunnn!).  After the book talk, we find out how far along Julia and AJ have gotten with their Hawthorne Tanks - Have they caught up to Katie?     S1E2: Circe, Chapters 4-6

    In this episode, Circe has a close encounter with, bum bum bummmm - a human! Then, we hop on the wild roller coaster of love. We discuss the ups, the downs, the transformation into a god. You know, normal stuff. It’s all going well as Circe discovers her powers, until she takes things a bit too far.  Plus, AJ, Julia and Katie share some other WIPS that are on their hooks and needles!

    Who is Circe? What sets her apart from other gods and immortals? Join us as we embark on our literary adventure to learn all about who the infamous enchantress was before her legendary encounter with Odysseus and beyond. In this episode, we discuss Chapters 1-3, exploring who Circe’s family is, how Prometheus lit a fire that fueled her curiosity towards humans (pun intended), and how her love for a brother shapes her sense of self.  Read along and stitch along as we cast on our Hawthorne Tanks!
