S2DS is a 5 week bootcamp designed to turn seasoned academics into data scientists through commercial project work. From Day 1 of the programme, participants are immersed in the day-to-day life of a data scientist through working with clients in a small team and using agile management methodologies. He received a PhD in ultracold atomic physics from the University of Oxford, and worked as a post doc on quantum simulation with a Nobel Laureate at the National Institute of Standards and Technology in the USA. He has also worked on quantum technologies as a Senior Research Scientist at the National Physical Laboratory in Teddington, UK.
