disapointed true crime ,

Great start.. and then became disappointed

So this started really well, loved the set up- and was really hooked on this weird couple and how much they were or were not both involved, then..... well, i was just confused, there seems to be at least 3 episodes missing- episode 4,5&6.. I don’t know why? But I’m totally confused on the story- I struggled to follow what was going on, really weird interviews with friends and boyfriends of Rachael, the host interrupts their constant rambling to bring them back to the point she’s making- honestly I got bored and tried to flick through to find a good investigation episode, and just more rambling.
Shame, as the story is very interesting in itself I just feel like I’ve missed somthing in the missing episodes that would have explained more.

Interesting case but terrible podcast

Linda Sawyer is obnoxious and narcissistic and at times acts like a mean girl gossip who has pent up issues about pretty girls. Most of us assume that Rachel Buffett knew more about the case, and was not a very nice person, but character assassination and pushing theories onto every guest doesn’t make her more culpable for murder. Matt Murphy went after the best case that he had against Rachel Buffett, so Linda and Scott Sanders constant mocking of the fact that he didn’t go after a murder conviction is pointless. Sanders is bitter because he lost a death penalty case and Linda is shocked because Matt hasn’t bought into her self-obsessed fame hungry persona. It started off well with Steve Herr and then just seems to have lost its purpose. Episodes 7 & 8 are the most painful episodes to get through. Listening to old people mock a 20 year old just isn’t cool. I almost lost it when Linda told Scott Erhardt that Steve Herr would be fine with him joking and laughing. That is not her call to make. I find it weird also how she claims to be so close to Steve Herr, and yet many episodes are with the defence lawyer of the man who dismembered his son. She even asks a question knowing that the answer would hurt Steve.
The story is sad and twisted and hurt many people, but she is sensationalising it and trying to make a name for herself from it. I find her actions sometimes cruel and unnecessary.
