Soccer Basics

Sean Brown

If you have the fear of missing out from something as little as hanging out with friends, imagine how you’re going to feel when you miss out on what is historically the most popular athletic tournament in the world. I’m talking about the Fifa World Cup, and yes it’s coming to the United States in the Summer of 2026. Don’t worry my weekly podcast ‘Soccer Basics’ by me, your host, Sean Brown will help engage you by guiding you to understanding the fundamentals. Soccer was my first sport and I’ve been playing and watching since I can remember. I’ve been a fan, player, and spectator through three generations of talents, from Ronaldinho’s generation of world class technical players, to Messi and Ronaldo’s generation of European dominance, and now the new generation of talents like Lamine Yamal creating their legacy as of this writing. As popular as Soccer has become in the US it still feels like a new sport. With my insights and experience as a player and a fan I want to remove the misconceptions about the sport and help people who are open to trying new things learn how to watch it. If you have the fear of missing out, open to trying new things or have always wondered about the wonders behind the world’s most popular sport, tune in to ‘Soccer Basics’.
