As you may have noticed, I had to take an unplanned break from recording season two of Spilling Tea. The good news is that we're back. There are four more episodes to round up the season that I'm about to share with you very, very soon. But before we crack on, I just wanted to explain why the pause happened, give some context and also extend an invitation to you all. Back in January, I experienced a pretty dramatic miscarriage during my second trimester, and so naturally, I had to take a break to recover both physically, emotionally, mentally, etc. I'm very glad to say that I'm in a much better space now. And part of the reason why I was able to process what had happened to me, was opening up to other people and sharing my experience. I'm not going to go through the details right now on here, but if you're interested, I have shared a pretty lengthy article on my Substack detailing everything that happened, which you can see below. What that did was put me in touch with so many other women who have gone through a similar experience, which has been very beneficial to me, because when it first happened, I just felt so alone. I didn't know anyone in my life who had gone through something like that, especially during the second trimester. Little did I know that there were women in my life who had experienced pregnancy loss or infertility problems, but I just had no idea, because miscarriages and pregnancy loss are understandably topics that many women don't want to talk about or revisit. But I know that personally I found so much solace in hearing other people's experiences. And so my invitation to you is – if you're someone who has gone through pregnancy loss, and feel comfortable sharing your stories with us, I would love to hear it. Perhaps you want to share what helped you personally recover, things that your loved ones did for you to help you through this tough time – or things you wish you had received during that time. If you're willing to share your story, even anonymously, um, you can send a voice note to my personal email – info@thevenetianpantry.com Hopefully I’ll be able to put together a dedicated episode, so that we all feel less alone in this. I also wanted to say a big thank you to my guests for bearing with me and patiently waiting for their episode to come out. Two out of four of these episodes were recorded before my break back in October/ November last year, and so it's about time that they finally see the light of day. I also wanted to say the biggest thank you to my sponsor, Avantcha, who have also very generously waited and given me space to come back and confirm their support for the rest of the season. And lastly, but most certainly not least, a big, big thank you to you guys for listening and sticking around and sending your lovely reviews, which, honestly make my day. This podcast wouldn't exist without you guys, so thank you. The new episode of the remainder of season two will air on Monday, so watch out for that. Without further ado, I'll speak to you soon. This is a public episode. If you'd like to discuss this with other subscribers or get access to bonus episodes, visit thevenetianpantry.substack.com/subscribe
