No matter how hard you try, how big or small your ambition is, and your abilities, there will be people who will make you feel you are inadequate. In this episode, I draw lessons from the story of David when his brother and Saul doubted his abilities in I Samuel chapter 17  to give insight on how to respond to doubt.

    Shame is a painful feeling of humiliation or distress caused by the consciousness of wrong or foolish behaviour. Shaming targets who a person is, not what they do. It is hard to let go of shameful experiences especially when there is evidence of the act. It feels like you have little control over your life when the acts of shame become known to loved ones. Which makes being kind to yourself even more difficult.     In this episode, I talk about the high standards set by society that unfortunately has become a mirror for viewing and accepting ourselves. We do not have control over some of our physical features, background, family types, gender, race ethnicity and other natural suggests there is a need to accept your self whilst working on self-development to overcome some of the challenges you can work on. On a more positive note, I highlight that the “imperfections” that you struggle with is what makes you unique. Whatever you give attention to magnifies. It is therefore important you give much attention to your strong attributes whilst feeding your brain positive information about yourself and detaching emotions from your personal development.     Introduction to thorns

    In this introductory episode, I make a comparison between life and a seed on the assumption that they both have the potential to sprout and grow. I go on further to explain that the struggles of life begin even before conception. I give an explanation of what a thorn signifies, its relation to life, and the way it presents itself.
