The Price of Saying What Was True

An Excerpt from The Price of Saying What Was True on Townhall.com I knew she was right. I knew I was right. And I never had any doubt. Of course, the people who were dead wrong are moving the goalposts. It’s the only way to save face. That’s why J.K. Rowling’s recent observation struck such a nerve. Watching public opinion continue to shift, Rowling wrote, “As the vibe shifts… the obvious place to start is, ‘It’s not that I couldn’t see your point, but did you have to say it that way?’” That caught my attention because I think she’s exactly right. As more voices begin distancing themselves from ideas they once defended with unwavering confidence, the conversation has quietly changed. It isn’t, “Were we wrong?” It’s, “Did you really have to say it that way?” That’s an extraordinary shift. That caught my attention. The debate itself seemed to have shifted. Because it suggests the argument is no longer about whether uncomfortable facts should be faced. It’s about whether the people who spoke those facts aloud were polite enough while doing it. For years, Americans watched an intense cultural battle unfold over questions that reached far beyond politics. Parents questioned whether children should receive irreversible medical interventions for gender dysphoria. Female athletes objected to competing against biological males. Women raised concerns about privacy and safety in sex-separated spaces. Physicians, researchers, teachers, and ordinary citizens asked whether dissent from prevailing orthodoxy would still be tolerated. Too often, the response wasn’t a debate. It was punishment. Ask uncomfortable questions and you risked losing your reputation. Parents were branded extremists for asking what schools were teaching their own children. Medical professionals who questioned prevailing practices found themselves under enormous professional pressure. Researchers, journalists, and ordinary citizens learned there was a price for refusing to repeat ideas they believed were false. See the FULL ARTICLE on Townhall.com This week, we're celebrating a major milestone in American history - the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence. But as we look back on this pivotal moment, we're also reminded of the complexities and challenges that have shaped our nation. In this episode, we explore the intersection of faith, freedom, and the American dream. That KEVIN Show takes us on a journey through the history of the American Revolution, highlighting the significance of the Declaration of Independence and the events that led up to it. We hear from Peter-Christian Aigner, Director of the Gotham Center for New York City History and Co-Founder of the Revolutionary Trail App and Echoes of Revolution App; who shares insights into the revolutionary trail of New York City and the New York region. We also delve into the story of the Battle for New York, a lesser known but crucial part of the American Revolution. Meanwhile, we're also discussing the importance of faith and freedom in our lives. Kevin McCullough talks to Patrice Onwuka, Vice President of Economic Policy at Independent Women. A no-nonsense mom and expert on economics; she discusses the Trump accounts initiative, which aims to give children a boost in their financial future. We also explore the concept of Trump accounts for adults, which could potentially provide an alternative to Social Security. In this episode, we're also tackling the challenges of parenting and how to give each child the individual attention they need. Kevin chats with Shelley Goldberg, a parenting expert, about the importance of making time for each child and finding ways to show them love and affection in their unique love languages. The Platner Effect

An Excerpt from The Platner Effect on Townhall.com Every now and then a political story comes along that’s bigger than the person whose name ends up in the headline. I think this is one of those stories. I’ve been watching the coverage surrounding Maine Democratic Senate candidate Graham Platner for several days. Platner has denied a sexual assault allegation made against him. Prominent Democratic leaders, the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee, and other party officials have called on him to withdraw. Those are the reported facts. The allegation remains denied and has not been adjudicated in court. On this episode, he's weighing in on the latest news, from President Trump's comments on NATO to the importance of living a life of spiritual poverty. But first, he's sharing his own personal story of weight loss and how he's found a program that's working for him. PhD Weight Loss is a program that's all about eating healthy and feeling good, and Kevin's excited to share his results with his listeners. This episode is packed with great conversations, including a discussion with Will Biagini, Campus Reform Assistant Editor, about the latest news in education. Kevin's also talking to Michelle Lazor, the creator of Mud Hen Mama, an online bookstore that's all about providing families with great books that align with a biblical worldview. And, of course, he's sharing his thoughts on the latest news, from the Supreme Court's decision on Title IX to the importance of getting our kids to read more. One of the key takeaways from this episode is the importance of living a life of spiritual poverty. Kevin's guest, Dr. Joel Grassi, explains that being poor in spirit means recognizing our own spiritual poverty and being willing to share the riches of God's grace with others. It's a message that's especially relevant in a culture that often values wealth and material possessions over spiritual growth. If you're looking for a program that can help you live a healthier lifestyle, Kevin's got you covered. He's sharing his experience with PhD Weight Loss and how it's helped him lose weight and feel great. And if you're concerned about the books your kids are reading, Michelle Lazor's got a resource for you. Check out Mud Hen Mama and get 15% off your first purchase with the code KEVIN15. As the city's infrastructure is put to the test, our host reflects on the fragility of life and the importance of faith. In a world where we often take our surroundings for granted, he shares a personal anecdote about the impermanence of things and the need to trust in a higher power. The Next Great American Frontier

An Excerpt From: The Next Great American Frontier on Townhall.com It was one of those moments you don't forget. On Saturday, I had the privilege of joining a broadcast aboard the USS Intrepid. As classic warbirds took to the skies—followed and preceded by the most lethal fighting aircraft ever built—the entire spectacle spoke to me. Deeply. Our ability to design the F/A-18, the F-22, and the F-35, launch them from sea and land, and watch them perform with breathtaking precision is one of the chief reasons evil tyrants around the globe think twice before testing America. The fact that we use such innovation and overwhelming power in defense of freedom—and not for conquest—is a testament to both American military strength and American restraint. But it also made me ask a different question. How do we stay ahead of the rest of the world? How do we preserve that freedom not just for today, but for the next 50 or 100 years? I believe a significant part of President Trump’s strategy answers that question in two words: Energy dominance. Not energy independence. Energy dominance. There’s a difference. Independence means meeting your own needs. Dominance means having so much energy that you shape the future for everyone else. President Trump understands that energy has become the world’s most valuable currency. This weekend, the Marxist mayor of New York City was telling residents to keep their thermostats set at 78 degrees because, supposedly, it was the only way to protect the electrical grid. Meanwhile, his own air conditioning remained comfortably paid for, and his wife escaped the heat with a trip to Spain. The message was simple enough: you sacrifice… they’ll manage.
