In this episode, I speak to Sarah Gallagher who is a music artist manager to talent such as Olly Murs and JLS. I wanted to hear about how she got into the industry, what it's like to work in music and also how she manages her work around having a young family.
Sarah takes us on the journey from helping out her boyfriend book DJs for gigs whilst she was at uni, to helping her brother who was plating guitar for an up and coming artist called ADELE! to then taking on the second and third finalists in the X factor and managing Olly still to this day.

In this episode, I spoke to Dani Tremain about her journey to senior producer on TOWIE whilst she was heavily pregnant with her first son. Dani tells us what it was like studying media at university and her journey to the top in TV production. On her career path, she has been in senior roles on This Morning with the OGs Richard and Judy and had her eldest son who is now 8 and then 5 year old twins. Career breaks are normalised and we find out what is next on her agenda.

In this episode we meet Nic Lamont introduced to me by Lynne Parker of Funny Women fame. I loved talking to Nic to find out how she had decided to go into acting in the first place and how she found her dark comedy niche. I was interested to hear how she bolsters the uncertainty of acting work with 'money jobs' and how she navigated the pandemic, being pregnant and then becoming a new mum whilst also being an actress. I loved to hear that now she has her family she is more decisive on what she will and won't do, has written her own work and most recently set up a community project. In this episode we meet Jayne Secker an English journalist and newsreader on the Today program on Sky News. I met Jayne through a friend of a friend and was really interested to find out quite simply what it is like to be on the 'tele'. I was fascinated to hear how Jayne had started, always putting herself up for work experience slots, promotions and new jobs. Jayne isn't afraid to work hard and it has paid off. Jayne has had a passion for telling stories and that passion has taken her here. She shares her journey, tips for success and what it has been like over the years and how the industry has adapted to new technology and life after Covid.

On this episode, I speak to Georgina Heron, one of the people who inspired this podcast. I was interested to hear what it was like working for a private jet company, especially in the pandemic. Georgina talked about how she worked her way up through the company from starting there in her university holidays. We discussed what it was like working her way up the company to director, being on call 24/7 and then having a maternity leave during the pandemic.
After maternity leave, Georgina worked with her employer to work out the best role for her skills and the business to accommodate the fact she now had a young family.
