    Episode 13: Money with Rob Moore

    In this episode I am talking to Rob Moore. Rob is one of the UK’s top non-fiction authors including the #1 best seller: Money, know more, make more, give more He became a millionaire at 30 having been an artist, £50k in debt 5 years before He is co-founder of Progressive Property, the UK’s leading property training company and is host of the Disruptive Entrepreneur Podcast and The Money Podcast. We talk about how your relationship with money is impacted on the emotion you attach to it and the limiting beliefs you have around it. Rob talks about how he changed his relationship with money to become a millionaire property investor and the common traits that all millionaires have which includes having a strong cause, mission and sense of purpose. This is something I’ve talked about many times through this series and will definitely help you to get through this crisis. We also talk about the culture of the industry with low profit margins and a “race to the bottom” on cost. Rob talks about the need for a “race to the top” which is something I’ve talked a lot about over the last 12 months.     Episode 12: Industry Insights: What Lies Beyond COVID19 with Richard Threlfall

    Richard Threlfall is the Global Head of Infrastructure at KPMG advising on policy, governance and finance. Richard is also a World Economic Forum Council member on the Global Future Council for Infrastructure. The World Economic Forum gathers in Davos in Switzerland every year. When I originally reached out to Richard to record this podcast I wanted to find out about DAVOS, what had been discussed and how that is being filtered into businesses representing the built environment. Then the world changed with the Coronavirus global pandemic In this episode we use a phrase that has been used before, “never waste a good crisis” We talk about how we are embracing digital technology more effectively and efficiently and how important our work is and how the public does not fully understand the importance of the work we do to build their Built Environment.     Episode 11: The Power of Meditation In Construction with Joanna May

    Joanna May is a Meditation Teacher and Keynote Speaker. Joanna is from the construction industry, her last role before leaving was a Commercial Director for a concrete frame and groundworks sub-contractor. Prior to leaving the industry Joanna studied meditation to become a top performer, a common trait that high achievers in business globally have. In 2016 Joanna was horrified to hear about the high suicide rates of men between 18 and 35 in our industry and decided to leave her job to teach meditation. In this episode we hear about her experiences teaching meditation to the industry, the impact it is having now on her clients amidst the coronavirus crisis and we do a meditation practice you can join in with.
