Tackling the mental health and well-being of young people

We talk to Simon Antwis from Steer Education (former headteacher and schools inspector) about how technology can help find those children in school suffering from mental health and offer support. We look at how technology has helped transform schools' data unity and pastoral care. We also touch on the struggles of children who hide their feelings by 'gaming the system' and how to reach them, with why girls' mental health is of particular concern. And finally, what teachers can do about the growing divide between girls' and boys' social and emotional well-being.

Perfect on commute!

Cornerstones really have something special here. This podcast has been excellent for me and the SLT at my school. The insights into the thoughts of leading practitioners have been second to none. It's become a regular listen on my commute to work. I'm interested to see what the new Knowledge Podcast brings.

Cornerstones advert

Felt more like one long advert for Cornerstones, with issues tailored so they could promote what they sell. In the most recent one on literacy levels, the lady speaking was clearly just reading from a script, a lot of her points were obvious and just felt like a massive sales pitch.

Primary obsessed

Nice podcast if you were a primary teacher. I’ve listened to several now and the issues are just not applicable to secondary - pity.
