My weight loss and ADHD journey with Tom Watson

My weight loss and ADHD journey with Tom Watson

Our guest today has a truly inspirational, transformational weight loss story. About 5 years ago Tom Watson lost eight stone (that’s 112 pounds or 51 kg) and reversed his Type 2 diabetes by committing to a whole new way of life and we are very excited that decluttering played a part in his journey. Tom is a Declutter Hub Podcast super fan and this is one you’re not going to want to miss.
Tom served as MP for West Bromwich East from 2001 until 2019 and was Deputy Leader of the Labour Party from 2015 to 2019. He was a minister for Prime Minister Tony Blair and worked at the very heart of 10 Downing Street with Prime Minister Gordon Brown.
During his time in the Houses of Parliament, Tom built a reputation as a passionate campaigner. He challenged corrupt tabloid newspapers during the phone-hacking scandal and campaigned for reforms to the betting Industry.
After changing his diet and getting fit, Tom has the global sugar industry in his sights and is committed to raising awareness about the dangers of excess and hidden sugars and improving public understanding of conditions like type 2 diabetes.

Late to the Declutter Party? Moving home? This is the One!!!

I spent lockdowns walking my dog 🥾🐶 & I remember watching lots of Makeup & Hair Tutorials & having some disastrous DIY results 😂! Oh how I wish I’d found this podcast then! If that’s you, look no further, this podcast is absolutely the One!!!

I’m moving and I’ve had two months to get my home ready to market. It’s been stressful 🤯 but I’ve binged on an episode or more daily 😊 and it’s helped me make what feels like thousands of decisions.

I’ve also felt privileged to have a window on the super friendship between Ingrid & Lesley… 😊. I feel a little bit like I know them, or want to know them, because they are nice, so it’s felt more personal than watching TV programmes or YouTubers. Anyone else remember House Doctor - Ann Maurice? She got houses sold but she was so strict! 😂

I’ve now found homes for nearly everything, recycled or given away duplicated stuff, and stuff that was way out of control (my clothes for a starter!).
My house is so much tidier (even with Teens) it’s easy to keep clean for house viewings…And another Big Win 🏆 No more boxes in the Loft of my new home that will never see the light of day again!

Thank you both for helping me through, keeping me company, and challenging my own behaviours in a nice way 🏠 💕
I will definitely be back and I’m joining the members group when I’ve moved. 👍🏼

Mrs Miaou ,

Friendly and To the point

Finally a podcast which just gets to the point with doable chunks and advice from professional UK organisers. I love the banter between the 2 presenters and it always helps me to find my decluttering and organising mojo. I often listen to the same episode back over a few times while doing that area.
Nothing against USA podcasts, some great ones but I love the approach of this one without all the fluffing to bulk out the podcasts or Bible study references.
It really just feels more like a conversation with a good friend.
Hands down the best organising podcast I have found to date and I have listened to a lot!

Sarah ( Mum of Boys) ,

Brilliant podcast , thank you Lesley & Ingrid

I really enjoy listening to this weekly podcast and have been tuning in for quite some time now . Lesley and Ingrid are always relatable and are great presenters . They are aware of how clutter can be massively overwhelming and share how to break down tasks, alongside discussion of emotions involved in the process ( with lots of humour thrown in of course!) . Just the motivation I need to keep decluttering my home ! Thank you ladies .
