Great Resource

I am a new Governor, and as such, am not entirely comfortable in my role just yet.
After attending my first full Governor board meeting this week, I can feel that this will be a really great resource for me to tap into, if I should ever feel out of my depth. Thank you ladies.

Not really any use

As a new parent Governor of a maintained school I really hoped this would be useful and it isn’t . It’s just two people chatting , telling each other that they are great and that they do governing the best of anyone ever . They’ve disparaged parent governors several times and it’s clear parent governors are looked down upon by them. This is saddening .

To
Improve I would suggest removing one of these governors from future episodes and having someone from a Different area of the country and a different type of Governor to give a more balanced and interesting viewpoint .not everyone is a community Governor , not everyone is a governor at a MAT and not everyone is a governor at a mainstream school - let’s explore differences and try to learn ! Perhaps guest governors , could also come on and talk about their experiences .

I’ve listened to about 6 episodes about nothing and frustratingly learned nothing . This Could be a really useful tool for Governors if it has a Massive shakeup . As it is , I don’t really see who would find it useful tbh .
