A genuine classic

So many great interviews, analyses and historical insights... and so funny!
I’ve basically listened to every episode at least twice and eagerly wait for the latest to appear.
The format - which is modelled on the old-school White Dwarf magazine - is the best around!
Ed‘s appearances are always good fun.
More 2000AD related material please. Strontium Dog, perhaps?
Thanks Dirk and team!

RPGers of a certain age

I’ve been a follower since Ep1 and after catching up on a few episodes I had stashed away thought I’d chuck my 5* Dirks way.
If you want to hear why D&D players are A#%^Holes or why playing RPGs back in the day was akin to Terry Waite’s extended hols then Dirk’s your man !! Love it

Tabletop roleplaying nostalgia at its finest!

After initially bouncing off of early episodes I eventually went back to this podcast and I'm glad I did as it's now easily the podcast highlight of my month. For people (mainly men, to be fair) of a certain age and bent, this is like being wrapped in a soft warm blanket of nostalgia with a brew and some Hobnobs.
Dirk's a great host and the segments where he reminisces with Blythy are hilarious and insighful. Providing an irreverent but highly affectionate look back to the hazy days of the 80's and school holidays spent stuffed into a mate's bedroom or gathered around their kitchen table, Jumping between planets in Traveller, raiding ancient ruins in D&D, diving from the flaming wreckage in Car Wars and crawling through the mud and blood in Warhammer's Old World and so much more.
