The Horror Virgin

Thank you for all the time and energy put into doing the pods. It’s genuinely impressive and tbh WAY more put together than most podcasts that are signed to networks and have extensive support behind the scenes. Also, I’ve had a lot going on lately, and listening to this show is very helpful for emotional regulation. In case anyone’s being a dick head, I fully respect Mikey’s choice to leave and love you guys just as much.

I have been listening to the horror virgin podcast for a year now - I started listening when I began work at a cremation company. Part of my job involves listening to a lot of difficult calls, and speaking to people on one of the worst days of their lives so it can be quite mentally draining. To perk me up, I listen to the horror virgin podcast whilst sorting documents, packing brochures and doing general admin. Paige, Mikey and Todd honestly just make my day! You guys truly bring me so much joy - getting to listen to you talk about some of my favourite horrors, whilst also being just genuinely fantastic and funny human beans, is the saviour I need on difficult work days. Thank you for what you do and thank you again for just being brilliant humans - I am so happy I found your podcast! Also, please please please watch A Cure for Wellness - I really wanna listen to Todd’s reaction to the eels 😂

I love horror movies. And I love listening to people talk about horror movies too, and listening to this power throuple discuss movies I’ve seen (and a lot that I haven’t) is the highlight of my week. I go back and listen to my fave episodes quite a bit, especially ones that really made me laugh, I’m looking at you Grave Encounters 2!! I love how Paige always has the funnest of fun facts, even if they are sometimes corn, Mikey always brings a clever perspective especially when mental health is involved, and Todd’s genuine nature and abject fear of these movies always makes me smile. Thanks for always making me laugh at my desk, love you guys! Love, Natalie.

Like the light and fun tone of the show but the guy host constantly shows he doesn’t know how words are spelled and the lady corrects him in a subdued manner but he doesn’t even acknowledge it and even tries to claim she is the wrong one. He is also generally ignorant about movies. Which leads me to wonder why he is there. I guess she is the main host and he’s there to fill time by his “gee I didn’t know that”!
