What happens when one half of a couple goes on a GLP-1, and the other half hops in for the ride? In this episode, we’re chatting with another couple doing it together, treating their obesity with a GLP-1. You could call them a “GLP-1 household." Libby and Greg, both patients of Ro, talk to us about life going from "Food-Obsessed Couple" to "People Who Actually Have Leftovers." We’re getting into the nitty-gritty of the "Dual-GLP-1" lifestyle, including: "Coming Out" Story: How to tell your spouse you’re starting a GLP-1. The Relationship "Side Effects": Dealing with the "comparison trap," supporting each other through the side effects, and how a boost in confidence changes relationship dynamics.  Household Changes: From challenging the way they talk about "good vs. bad" food to showing up for their kids without the food noise. This episode is a raw, funny, and medically-backed look at how a simple injection can create a massive ripple effect in a marriage ______________________________________________________________________ Join this channel to get access to perks:    / @theplussidez ______________________________________________________________________ #Mounjaro #MounjaroJourney #Ozempic #Semaglutide #tirzepatide  #GLP1 #Obesity #zepbound #wegovy #ObesityCare #PatientAdvocate #GLP1Community #RealGLP1Stories Send us Fan Mail! When Surgery Wasn’t Enough: Adding GLP-1s to My Weight Loss Journey | Hannah

In this episode, we sit down with Hannah, a featured member of Ro’s Healthier with Ro campaign and the focus of Ro’s new documentary on her weight loss and health journey. Hannah joins the show to go beyond a transformation story and dig into the deeper realities of obesity as a chronic disease, GLP-1 treatment, and what lasting change actually feels like. Hannah shares her experience navigating weight stigma and shame, becoming a runner in a bigger body, and using GLP-1 medication as part of her care. For the first time in her life, she is living in a smaller body, without ever having had a “skinny Hannah” before. She reflects on how that shift has impacted her identity, mental health, and sense of self, including the emotional work that comes with a body changing faster than the mind. This conversation offers a real-world look at GLP-1 weight loss, body image, and mental health, exploring who we become when our bodies change and how we learn to live in that new reality. On a GLP-1 but Still Feeling Off? Perimenopause, HRT & Midlife Metabolism

Resources for the Community: ___________________________________________________________________ https://linktr.ee/theplussidez Find Your US Representatives  https://www.usa.gov/elected-officials  ______________________________________________________________________ This isn’t medical advice — always talk to your doctor before making any health decisions. Listener note: This episode includes candid discussion about sexual health and intimacy. Private listening is recommended if children are nearby. For many women in their late 30s, 40s, and 50s, treating metabolic dysfunction with a GLP-1 is only part of the story. Labs may improve. Weight may shift. But sleep changes. Mood feels different. Body composition moves in unfamiliar ways. Libido quietly declines. Perimenopause and menopause often unfold alongside metabolic treatment, and the hormonal transition can complicate everything. In this episode, we connect midlife hormone changes with metabolic health. Dr. Cathleen “Dr. Cat” Brown, board-certified OB/GYN and Medical Director at Winona, joins us along with Kelly Miller, Winona Patient Ambassador, to discuss what’s happening during perimenopause and menopause, why hormone replacement therapy is back in the conversation, and what changed after the black box warning. We also speak candidly about sexual health in midlife, an area that rarely gets the honesty it deserves. For women navigating GLP-1 treatment or broader obesity care, this conversation widens the lens. Hormones matter. Context matters. And stigma around menopause deserves the same challenge as stigma around obesity. As always, this episode is for educational purposes only and is not medical advice.
