The Ramble

Tim & Caleb

Reunited ramblings from afar! Join us, Tim and Caleb, two friends .. separated by the tides of time (and the Atlantic) as we catalogue the events of our friendship, beginning in high school, through our uni days, and beyond. Though life has taken us down different paths over the last six years, we have chosen to reconnect and strengthen our friendship through this unique experience. We have always cherished our shared memories. Though these events might be unique to us, we hope that you can place yourself within these stories and escape from the mundane with us each week.

    Season 2 //Q&A//

You asked, we answered .. well, sort of. C'mon in boys .. expooberance abounds!   Welcome to the Season 2 Q&A spectacular, an episode overflowing with bowel-pressure confessions, unwanted sandwiches, and the philosophical labyrinth of who exactly was feeling whose oats.    Tim explains how Truett briefly stole his heart and nearly his innocence (penguins included) and recalls his East Coast swagger-wagon escapades – complete with a limp hand, what truly happens after 6 pm, and an unceremonious ejection from Atlantic City. Caleb, not to be outdone, recounts how a cheese prank nearly derailed a friendship, insists “it all comes back to the river”, and beholds Bane (who survived being run over by the Ramblers) emerge from pool of noodles despite his mangled limbs.     Along the way, you’ll hear the Tale of Deer Run (definitely not a fantasy world), discover how the name and music of The Ramble came to be, and finally learn who were the hash-slinging slashers of old Saint Nick. We peel back facades, hoist wedding dresses, chauffeur feasts, and obliterate signs – all in the name of the Protected.    But the chaos doesn’t stop there: the mysterious faction known only as the Darkens makes their long-awaited entrance, a shadowy force forever entangled with Jimmy and his smoldering converse. Their influence collides with surprise birthday parties, full moons dangling from windows (was it a white car?), frantic glove inflation, and a vampiric glaze in the eyes of the beholden. Could it all be traced back to the basil? We’re not saying yes, but we’re not saying no.   By the end, Tim and Caleb reflect on friends lost, friends found, the syndicate still lurking in the shadows, and the AI doppelgängers waiting in the wings to carry their legacy. They strap into the plane of the heart, nosedive into oblivion, and leave you with a topsy-turvy conclusion that will make you laugh, weep, and possibly cart a watermelon. Ahead of it’s time? Absolutely. Understandable? Absolutely not.    Email: podcast.theramble@gmail.com  Instagram: @_theramblepodcast  Facebook: @theramblepodcast   Artwork Design: @indra.valdez

  2. Go On, Take It

    Go On, Take It

Is that Kanye on autotune or just domestic violence over a burrowed bee? One thing’s for sure, it’s not the Bent Neck Lady rawdogging her way through Christmas cheer.   Welcome back after 3 years (we know, we know) as the lads kick off the Season 2 Christmas-themed finale with a snake draft of the worst holiday traditions – from deer hunting youths weaponised with fruitcake, those unforgettable suet leaks nobody asked for, to the haunting tale of Mr Pocket and his suspiciously hot mince pies. Along the way, they also uncover a rare condition amongst carollers known only as “crampus in the groin”.  But it’s not all yuletide chaos as Tim and Caleb catch everyone up on life updates during their hiatus. They then reminisce on their final days together in college, including cleaning to Disney sing-alongs, dissecting felines (sorry, Chutney), gifting knick-knacks, and what happens when med school dreams go sideways. Caleb discusses his desire to flee the country, and Tim teases a European pilgrimage of his own after the shame of attending his own graduation as a spectator ..  Of course, there’s plenty of honey vs maple milk chatter, some accidental wisdom from an inquisitive phrase, and a journey that goes ever on until it ends with the only appropriate sendoff: wishing you a very sexy Christmas.  Disclaimer: The Ramble does not endorse storing pies in your pockets (no matter how much you feel the love tonight).   Email: podcast.theramble@gmail.com Instagram: @_theramblepodcast Facebook: @theramblepodcast  Artwork Design: @indra.valdez
